The Transformation of Brookby Road

brookby1Over the course of four work days, a work crew transformed Brookby Road (between Heathcote and Mamaroneck) and Quaker Circle from a pot holed filled driving challenge to a driver's dream road with nary a bump or crack. The work crew has moved on to address other Village roads in need of repaving. Our thanks to Benedict Salanitro, Superintendent of the Department of Public Works, and Village staff for getting this work done.

Ever notice how Post Road becomes smooth & wonderful to drive on once you cross over from Scarsdale to Eastchester? Don't Scarsdale residents pay much more in taxes, so why can Eastchester keep their roads pot-hole-free & Scarsdale can't? It's a disgrace...

Post Road in Scarsdale and Eastchester are maintained by New York State. Maybe ask Gov. Cuomo why he paved Post Road in Eastchester and not Scarsdale.

And I think today they paved Brewster from Fenimore to almost Huntington, and looks like they will do it up to Kingston shortly, as the road is all prepared.

Now if the could pave Brewster in front of SHS, that would be great.

Fox Meadow from Fenimore to about Kent Rd has also been repaved recently. And I see them working redoing the curbing on Brewster Rd in Greenacres, so that will probably be paved soon.

Hope you are right Bruce. My part of Fox Meadow has such potholes and cracks that are incredible for a village with this per capita wealth. Maybe next time you cycle by Village Hall, you can tell the personnel there to remember our road. :)

Send this crew to Post Road. It's a dsigrace

If your unhappy with the condition of Post Road, you can thank Gov. Cuomo and the State of New York, since it is a state owned road.

Jon, now that they paved your road, it sure would be nice if they pave others.
