You're Invited to Celebrate National Woman's Health Week at the JCCMW

healthweekEach year, millions of women take steps to improve their health during National Women's Health Week. The week serves as a reminder for women to make their health a priority and build positive health habits for life. The 20th annual National Women's Health Week kicks off on Mother's Day, May 12. For the second year in a row, the JCC of Mid-Westchester joins the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women’s Health in leading events and programs during National Women’s Health Week to encourage all women to be as healthy as possible.

JCCMW has made this initiative an annual priority and welcomes everyone in the community to get their Health on track. They invite women, men, and teens to participate in as many sessions and events as they can.

National Women’s Health Week – May 12-19

Tuesday May 14: A Morning Of Health and Wellness
10 am: Aroused: The History of Hormones and How They Control Just About Everything with Randi Hutter Epstein

11:15 am : Bone Health through the Ages with Marci Goolsby, MD, Primary Care Sports Medicine, Hospital for Special Surgery

Wednesday, May 15 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Eating & Wellness for a Healthy Heart In cooperation with White Plains Hospital

Panel discussion with:
-Dr. Anna Schiwek, MD Endocrinologist,
-Dr Jeannette L. Yuen, Cardiology
-Elizabeth DeRobertis, MS, RD, CDN, CDE, Nutrition

$20, includes light refreshments

Krav Maga Workshop

Friday, May 17: Step Up - 8:15 - 9:10 am and TRX Express - 9:30 - 9:55 am

Saturday, May 18: Heart Strong - 9:15 - 10:10 am and Tai Chi - 11:00 - 11:55 am
