New Rochelle, NY- April 17, 2017 - Beth El Synagogue Center will celebrate the continually growing and impactful contribution of Israel's science, technology, religious diversity, education and medicine to Israelis and the world at large with its "SEE Israel" Day, Sunday, May 7, 2017, 2-6pm (doors open at 1:30).

"SEE Israel" will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear and experience the lives and work of dedicated professionals and leaders in their fields and how their activities have been transformative for so many in Israel and beyond.

The day will showcase how communities, private industry and not-for-profit enterprises have created an environment of economic growth, scientific discovery, educational opportunity and challenges to the status quo in religious practice that has changed the lives throughout the world in the true spirit of Tikun Olam.

The event consists of panel discussions presented by a variety of organizations including: Israel Bonds, the Jewish National Fund (JNF), The Lone Soldier Center, Friends of Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), Israel Cancer Research Fund, Untold News, United Hatzalah, Stand With Us, Students & Parents Against Campus Anti-Semitism (SPACA), Alexander Muss High School in Israel, Masorti, ARZA and the Jewish Religious Equality Coalition (JREC).

Throughout the event there will also be an "Israel Forum," where each of the participating organizations will host exhibits and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about their important work, engage in discussion, make donations and contribute to their success. The "Israel Forum" will also host activities for the whole family to show their support for Israel.

"We want our community to experience the energy and enterprise of the Israeli people and their contribution to the growth of their country and the benefit of people all over the world," according to Mark Seidenfeld, Co-Chairman of Beth El's Israel Affairs Committee, organizer of the event. "Our hope is to enable the greater Westchester community to witness and learn about the optimism and creativity in Israel today and to see how Israel continues to contribute to the well being and growth of people throughout the world."

"SEE Israel" activities will conclude with a keynote speaker – IDF Colonel (Ret) Kobi Marom. Col. Marom served in an elite combat unit and led numerous missions, including the rescue of Ethiopian Jews in the Sudan desert as part of Operation Moses.
