The Church of St. James the Less, Scarsdale, presents MATTHEW LEWIS, organist on Monday, March 18 at 7:00 PM

The Church of St. James the Less, Scarsdale, NY, presents organist MATTHEW LEWIS, with soprano REBECCA FARLEY, and violinist PAULINE KIM HARRIS, in a program of works by Muffat, Handel, Vitali, Bach/Vivaldi, Duruflé, Boulanger and Dupré.

Matthew Lewis is organist and director of music at St. James the Less. He teaches organ at The Juilliard School, Pre-College Division, and is artistic director of St. George's Choral Society. Dr. Lewis has played organ recitals throughout the US, and in Canada, France, and Beijing (China). He is joined by Rebecca Farley, soprano, who recently made her debut with Lyric Opera of Kansas City in Così fan tutte, and violinist Pauline Kim Harris, a frequent guest with New York City's leading new music ensembles.

The Church of St. James the Less houses a new organ by Klais Orgelbau (Bonn, Germany) from 2017. With four manuals and five divisions, the organ contains 61 ranks.

The Church of St. James the Less wants to make these concerts accessible to everyone in the greater Westchester area. There is no admission charge for this event, but a suggested donation of $20 is welcome.
