Medicare Demystified at the Scarsdale Library (Sat. 29 Apr, 2017 9:15 am - 10:15 am)

"Demystifying Medicare and Healthcare Coverage for Seniors," a program focused on explaining the complex healthcare system for older adults will be held at the Scarsdale Public Library on Saturday, April 29, at 9:15 a.m.
Sponsored by Scarsdale Seniors and the Scarsdale Public Library, the program will outline the various parts of Medicare and lay out the costs associated with medical and drug insurance provided by the government and private companies. Walk-ins are welcome, but attendees are requested to register at (914) 231-3236.

Dr. Lawrence A. Hoffman was ordained as a rabbi in 1969, received his Ph.D. in 1973, and has taught since then at the Hebrew Union College -Jewish Institute of Religion, in New York. In 1994, he co-founded "Synagogue 2000," a trans-denominational project to envision the ideal synagogue "as moral and spiritual center" for the 21st century. As Synagogue 3000, it has launched Next Dor, a national initiative to engage the next generation through a relational approach featuring strong communities with transformed synagogues at their center.
