Green Ribbon Club to Host Screening of the Film, "Angst" (Tue. 28 May, 2019 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

The Scarsdale High School Green Ribbon Club Sponsors Screening of Angst on May 28, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Little Theater at Scarsdale High School

The President of the Green Ribbon Club, Jaclyn Finger, announced today that the Club is sponsoring a free screening of the film Angst followed by an interactive session and discussion.

Angst explores anxiety, its causes, effects and what we can do about it with contributions from students, young adults, professionals, and Olympic Swimmer and Gold Medalist Michael Phelps. The goal of the film, and this screening, is raise awareness around anxiety. It provides a starting point for discussion via the interviews with people suffering with anxiety like Michael Phelps. Additional discussions with experts about the causes, solutions, and available resources to address anxiety spark further conversation.

The Green Ribbon Club raised money this year and last year to fund this screening through various fundraisers organized and conducted by the members of the club. The members worked hard to achieve the required financial commitment from various donors so that the screening would be at no cost to all who can attend. The club members hope that by making the screening free, attendance will be maximized as will community benefit from the discussion.

Jaclyn Finger and the members of Scarsdale High School Green Ribbon Club invite all members of the community, students, parents, school staff, teachers, and professionals to attend and participate.
