There were almost more home closings than we had the space to show – but we’ve squeezed them all in –-from a $3.2 MM dollar home in Heathcote to a cozy Cape Cod in Edgewood, which sold for $610,000. From the data, it appears that Scarsdale real estate is hot.

More great examples of the outrageous disparities in property tax assessment in Scardale today. The guy at 7 Oak Lane is getting hosed compared to the guy at 55 Morris. We're all subsidizing the guy at 32 Oak Lane. Fortunately, townwide reval is coming to Scarsdale starting this Fall. While it may take 3 years to complete, at least we'll have assessment fairness going forward -- it's only been 42 years too late.

scott, agreed. 22k taxes on $1.7m sale price???? But be careful though..even if property tax of your neighbors go up, yours may not come down and politicians will find some way to overspend and mess things up. No equilibrium when politicians want to be re-elected or pay off special interests to get next office.

Once again the tax base per sales price makes no frickin' sense.
Maybe we'll get this fixed by 2015?
