Leaf Pick-Up: Dos and Don'ts Plus Home Sales and Weekend Open Houses

It’s leaf season in Scarsdale and crews are now picking up leaves all over town. The program extends until December 7 and here are a few reminders from the Village on how to deal with your leaves:

-Pile leaves on the grass near the edge of the road or curb line.

-Don’t place leaves in the street as they can cause traffic problems and block sidewalks.

-Don’t pile leaves near fire hydrants, storm drains or corners where they can block storm water or cause a visual obstruction.

-Use biodegradable bags for leaves, grass and twigs

-Contractors who are pre-registered with the Village can bring leaves to the recycling center and fees will be waived.
