Police Investigating the Death of a 58 Year-Old Woman on Lincoln Road

LincolnRoadScarsdale Police are currently investigating the homicide of a 58 year-old woman at 50 Lincoln Road on the morning of Wednesday January 20th. According to a press release from the Scarsdale Police they received a 911 call at 10:09 am saying that a woman at the house had been seriously injured.

Police officers and the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived at 50 Lincoln within three minutes but were apparently unable to save her.

Police have taken a 61 year-old man into custody and are currently working with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Forensic Investigations Unit and the Westchester County District Attorney's Office on an investigation.

Police are certain that this was an isolated incident that poses no threat to the community.

The police report does not give the identity of the parties involved. However, the home is owned by Jules Reich. He is married to Dr. Robin Goldman who is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.50LincolnRoad

The Journal News is reporting that the victim was stabbed to death and Tara Rosenblum from News 12 says, "Friends ID victim of fatal domestic ‪#‎Scarsdale‬ dispute as Albert Einstein College Prof/Pediatrician/Mother Dr. Robin Goldman."

Today, Lincoln Road was barricaded and press vehicles from major news outlets were waiting at the intersection of Carthage and Lincoln Roads to get some news.

This is the first murder in town in almost 40 years. The last occurred in 1977 when Yale student Bonnie Garland was bludgeoned to death at her home by her ex-boyfriend Richard Herrin who was visiting her in Scarsdale.
