2026 Bicycle Sundays! Since 1974\, Westchester County reside nts have been enjoying the popular Bicycle Sundays program. It opens a 6.5 -mile stretch of the historic Bronx River Parkway to bicyclists\, skaters\ , joggers\, and walkers on a series of Sundays throughout the warmer weath er months each year. Bicycle Sundays is one of Westchester’s longest-runni ng and popular recreational programs.

Bicycle Sundays is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by Westchester Parks Foundation and its partners\, thr ough generous donations from co-presenting sponsors NewYork-Presbyterian W estchester and Con Edison\, with Danny’s Cycles as the official Bicycle Sp onsor.
\nDuring Bicycle Sundays\, the parkway is open exclusively to non-motorized bicyclists\, scooters and in-line skaters\, e-bike class 1 only\, plus walkers and joggers. Many points of entry and exit are along t he way. from Exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsda le Road in Yonkers. The round-trip distance is 13 miles. The road is close d to automobiles in that stretch of parkway.
