\nAf ter serving 16 years as a representative of Long Island\, Steve Israel tur ned the page from a career in politics to open Theodore's Books in Oyster Bay\, New York\, a bookstore dedicated to being a warm and friendly place to browse and buy books where the only screaming\, lobbying\, and finger-p ointing is in support of a book you love. In addition to writing two satir es of Washington politics and the historical thriller The Einstein Conspir acy\, Steve is a professor of practice at Cornell University's Institute o f Politics and Global Affairs in New York City.
