Following the documentary screening, we'll have an expert panel, including the film's director, Dr. Changfu Chang, and the Executive Director of SPEAK, Dr. Teresa Hsu, discuss Asian American mental health.

Please bring your own materials for the making of your scarecrow! Old long sleeve shirts, old jeans and any other accessories (hats, scarves, etc.) as the Recreation Department will only be providing the straw, pantyhose, and string!

Bicycle Sunday

2026 Bicycle Sundays! Since 1974, Westchester County residents have been enjoying the popular Bicycle Sundays program. It opens a 6.5-mile stretch of the historic Bronx River Parkway to bicyclists, skaters, joggers, and walkers on a series of Sundays throughout the warmer weather months each year. Bicycle Sundays is one of Westchester’s longest-running and popular recreational programs.

Event Information
The series runs on the following dates and times:

Sept. 13, 20 and 27 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
Oct. 4 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

Bicycle Sundays is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by Westchester Parks Foundation and its partners, through generous donations from co-presenting sponsors NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester and Con Edison, with Danny’s Cycles as the official Bicycle Sponsor.

During Bicycle Sundays, the parkway is open exclusively to non-motorized bicyclists, scooters and in-line skaters, e-bike class 1 only, plus walkers and joggers. Many points of entry and exit are along the way. from Exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. The round-trip distance is 13 miles. The road is closed to automobiles in that stretch of parkway. Admission is free and free parking will be available in the East Lot at the Westchester County Center.

Cancer Support Team Annual Luncheon

The annual Cancer Support Team’s Gayle K. Lee Health Awareness Luncheon is just around the corner. Run, don’t walk, to get your tickets to the always informative luncheon about the latest news about beating the dreaded disease.

This year’s luncheon speaker on Thursday, October 15, 2026, in the Oval Room at the Scarsdale Golf Club in Hartsdale will be no exemption.

The 2026 featured speaker will be Dr. Andy Minn, MD, PhD, Chair of the Immuno-Oncology program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York City. Dr. Minn also serves as Director of the Mark Foundation Center for Immunotherapy, Immune Signaling and Radiation.

A nationally recognized physician-scientist, Dr. Minn’s research focuses on understanding why some cancers resist immunotherapy and how emerging treatment strategies can improve patient outcomes. His groundbreaking work has been published in leading journals including Cell, Science, Nature and Immunity.
