Fire Chief Cain
The Scarsdale Rotary Annual Wine (and food) Tasting brought a wide swath of the community to the Scarsdale Woman's Club on Thursday March 21 for a festive evening to benefit 20 organizations, all near and dear to Scarsdale residents. In an impressive showing from many of Scarsdale's restaurants, guests were treated to delicious bites such as arancini (rice balls) from Savona, a rich roll-up of roasted brussels sprout, bacon and truffle oil from Cooked and Co., a selection of hummus' from Taiim, antipasto from DeCiccos, and appetizers from Chat -- all to accompany a generous selection of wines courtesy of Zachys. For dessert, there were cupcakes from Martines and Lulus, and chocolates from Imagine Candy.
The food and wine could only be rivaled by the impressive selection of raffle and auction prizes from local restaurants and retailers. Among the items donated for the live auction were a 60" television from Value Electronics and dinner for eight at home catered by Dan Ryan of X20 and Hell's Kitchen fame.
Congratulations to Chief Thomas Cain, Jane Buck, Doug Metz, Lynne Wilson and the entire event committee.
