Dispute
Police intervened in a dispute between a woman and an employee of a package pickup location on Scarsdale Avenue Oct. 9. The employee would not release the package to the woman because she did not have a photo ID. Police assisted her and convinced the employee to accept an insurance card as proof of ID in order to release the package.

Cars and roadways
On Oct. 9, police put traffic cones around a sewer where the grate cap fell inside on Weaver Street, while waiting for firefighters who arrived to retrieve and replace the grate.

On Oct. 9, police issued summonses to a 44-year-old Bronx driver found driving on Sherbrooke Road with a suspended registration.

Police advised the driver of a construction vehicle to relocate the parked vehicle because a resident was having trouble accessing her driveway on Hampton Road Oct. 11.

On Oct. 12, police issued summonses to a 28-year-old White Plains driver found driving on Post Road with a suspended registration and an insurance violation.

On Oct. 13, police re-positioned a loose sewer cap on Heathcote Road.

Construction equipment was blocking a stop sign on Fox Meadow Road Oct. 13. Police put up a portable stop sign to assist.

Police notified Verizon and Con Edison about low-hanging wires on Highland Way Oct. 14.

On Oct. 12, police issued summonses to a 29-year-old Bronx driver found driving on Heathcote Road with registration, licensing and insurance violations, as well as missing and obscured license plates.

Village code
Police mailed a summons to the owner of a business who posted an advertising sign in the Village right of way on Heathcote Road Oct. 10.

Police advised excavation workers about proper work times on White Birch Lane Oct. 14.

Police advised the manager of Fenway Golf Club to lower the volume of music being played at a party after a resident complained Oct. 14.

Lost and found
A license plate was found on Post Road Oct. 9. Police vouched it for safekeeping.

Firefighters
On Oct. 10, firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of an indoor gas odor in a Brewster Road house. The Con Edison technician verified a leak from an appliance, isolated it and advised contacting a plumber to perform a repair. Firefighters assisted with ventilation.

On Oct. 11, firefighters helped pump water from a Haverford Road basement.

On Oct.11, firefighters helped a Penn Blvd resident change a smoke detector battery.

On Oct. 14, firefighters partially extinguished a fireplace fire with a water can and opened a closed flue at a home on Heathcote Road. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear smoke from the house. The house was evaluated for carbon monoxide with negative results. Firefighters educated the resident on proper function of the flue and discussed the importance of flue and chimney inspection and maintenance.

floodingStolen car: On Oct. 9, a Greendale Road resident reported his 2015 BMW 328 had been stolen from his driveway overnight.

Kitchen fire
On Oct. 5, firefighters received a report of a kitchen fire on Coralyn Road. Upon arrival, firefighters observed an alarm sounding from the exterior. During investigation, they observed moderate smoke on the first floor and encountered the homeowner who reported all occupants were out of the structure. The fire appeared to have been confined to the kitchen and extinguished by the homeowner prior to firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters requested an ambulance to evaluate the homeowner for smoke inhalation. Firefighters verified that there was no extension of the fire, and they ventilated the structure. They removed a damaged over-the-range microwave from the house. Firefighters also isolated power and shut the appliance valve to the natural gas range. The homeowner reported that the range may have inadvertently been left on with a food processor and other cookware left too close to the burner. The homeowner also reported that she was alerted by the activated alarm system and used a pot of water to extinguish the fire. Firefighters advised the homeowner to discontinue use of the range and to contact her insurance company to initiate the remediation process. According the firefighters’ reports, the fire appeared to start from an unattended pot on the gas stovetop. Melted plastic was observed on a burner. The overhead microwave control panel was also melted.

Identity theft
On Oct. 3, a Madison Road woman reported someone stole her wallet in the past and she now noticed that someone used her personal information to apply for credit.

Suspicious
A Palmer Ave. bank manager reported two men in a car with Pennsylvania plates might be casing the bank Oct. 4.

A Palmer Avenue man reported that someone was issued an order of protection, in favor of the man, and that person had violated it by allegedly circling the man’s house by car Oct. 6.

Help
Police checked the welfare of a Fox Meadow Road woman following a reported argument with her husband Oct. 6. All was in good order.

Cars and roadways
Police notified Verizon about a black box hanging from a utility pole on Brookby Road Oct. 2.

A South Woods Lane resident reported an elderly neighbor drove through his garage door Oct. 2. Upon arrival, crews encountered an SUV and one occupant who had driven through a closed garage door. The garage door, frame, rails, and track were compromised. SVAC members initiated patient care. Firefighters removed the door and stabilized the entryway for patient/occupant removal. The patient was assisted out of the vehicle and transported by EMS. Firefighters evaluated the ceiling joists and determined the garage doorframe was non-load bearing. The building department conducted a structural assessment. Firefighters isolated an electrical wire feeding a compromised exterior light fixture and removed the garage doorframe. Airbags were used to center the vehicle in the garage to prevent further damage during towing. The vehicle was removed by a private tow. The son of the patient was on scene for home securement.

On Oct. 3, while conducting traffic enforcement in the vicinity of Popham Road and Elmdorf Drive, patrol’s license plate reader indicated a suspended/revoked registration. Patrol conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the operator who was unaware of the suspended status of the vehicle, as it was not registered to him. The license plates were removed, and the vehicle was towed. Two summonses were issued.

Polices pulled over a Chevy Impala’s driver for speeding on Post Road Oct. 3. The car was not properly registered, as well. Police issued appropriate summonses.

Police discarded a bag of construction debris left on Chase Road Oct. 3.

Police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Bypass Oct. 3.

On Oct. 4, police directed traffic around a disabled car on Post Road while the driver waited for assistance.

On Oct. 4, a woman who works as a Saxon Woods Road caretaker advised her car might have been damaged by landscapers while it was parked at work in July. Her employer said he would contact his doorbell camera provider to see if he could get archived footage from that date.

Police called a tow for a car that broke down on Popham Road Oct. 5.

On Oct. 6, police notified the highway department about a developing pothole on Harvest Drive.

Police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Heathcote Road Oct. 8.

Police advised drivers of illegally parked cars on Potter Road to move their cars Oct. 8.

Village code
On Oct. 2, police issued a summons to an Autenreith Road resident who was draining pool water into the street.

Dogs
Police reunited a lost dog, found on Crane Road, with its owner, Oct. 5.

Lost and found
A wallet was found at the Scarsdale train station Oct. 3. The owner of the wallet picked it up.

A Popham Road man reported finding a “sword” in his driveway Oct. 4. It was identified as a landscaping machete.

On Oct. 4, a Boulevard resident reported losing his front license plate.

A person found a cellphone on Wayside Lane and brought it to police Oct. 5.

A person found a wallet on Lincoln Road and brought it to police Oct. 6.

On Oct. 6, police pulled over the driver of a Mercedes-Benz for an expired inspection sticker. Numerous other registration and licensing violations were observed, and police issued appropriate summonses. The plates were also removed, and the car was towed.

Keys were found on East Parkway Oct. 8. Police identified the owner, and the owner of the keys picked them up.

On Oct. 8, a Secor Road resident reported losing license plates.

Firefighters
On Oct. 2, a firefighter was cleaning and during an attempt to move an inflatable rescue boat, it slipped out of the firefighter’s grasp, hit the ground, and then bounced back up, striking his neck.

On Oct. 2, firefighters helped an Edgewood Road resident get back in the house after being locked outside accidentally.

On Oct. 3, firefighters helped a driver change a flat tire on Post Road.

Firefighters were called to address a sparking outlet in a Ferncliff Road house Oct. 7.

On Oct. 5, firefighters shut down a hot water heater, boiler and furnace due to elevated carbon monoxide levels in an Ogden Road house.

On Oct. 6, a boiler technician said the firebox of a Mamaroneck Road boiler had extra fuel that ignited and caused a puff back. Firefighters assisted with ventilation.

Police moved a manhole cover back in place on Popham Road Oct. 7.

Police and firefighters taped off numerous roadways in the Village due to flash flooding Oct. 7. Where trees and wires were also down, appropriate notifications were made.

On Oct. 7, firefighters and police responded to numerous storm-related calls, including flooding, sewage backups and fallen trees, branches and wires on Clarence Road, Sprague Road, Lorraine Place, Fox Meadow Road, Paddington Road, Brookby Road, Bypass and Leatherstocking Lane.

On Oct. 7, firefighters responded to a reported extinguished electrical outlet fire at a private residence on Ferncliff Road. On arrival, firefighters were directed by the resident to an exterior outlet that arched during a rainstorm. The resident advised the circuit breaker had tripped. The resident then claimed to have turned the breaker back on, and it arched at that point. The resident then shut back off the circuit breaker. Firefighters confirmed the circuit break was off and isolated the outlet. Firefighters confirmed extension both inside and outside the structure, noting that negative extension was found.

On Oct. 8, firefighters pumped water out of a Catherine Road basement.

On Oct. 8, firefighters traced a gas odor to a burner left on, without ignition, in a Brambach Road house, Oct. 8.

A Locust Lane man was burning something in a metal container in the backyard Oct. 8. Firefighters asked him to extinguish it.

blueheronBurglary: A Lorraine Place woman reported returning home and finding her house ransacked Sept. 15. Window screens and the front door were found to be damaged. A safe containing cash, passports and property worth more than $25,000 were reported stolen.

Arrest
On Sept. 13, police arrested David Escobar, 54, of Danbury, Connecticut, on charges of forcible touching and degrading or abusing another human being. The victim was identified in the report as a 25-year-old woman. The incident allegedly occurred on Wynmor Road. Escobar allegedly works as a handyman. In follow-up to an investigation started around August 21, Escobar was ordered to arrive at headquarters with his lawyer for the arrest processing. He was released on his own recognizance, and a temporary order of protection was issued in favor of the victim.

Assistance
Police responded to a report of harassment on Spencer Place Sept. 11. A woman reported harassment from her former employer. Police stood by while the employer returned personal belongings to the ex-employee and paid her for her last two days of work.

Suspicious
A Fox Meadow Road resident reported a heavyset, white man rang the doorbell and left. The man was described as wearing a T-shirt that read, “Keep calm and don’t blink” Sept. 13. Later the man returned to the resident’s house and rang the doorbell again. The resident said he thought the man might have left something at the doorstep. Police went to the scene and saw the man in a T-shirt matching the description. He said he rang the doorbell of the resident’s house because he found litter on the street, brought it to the doorstep and rang the bell because he believed that the resident had littered. Police advised him to not return to the resident’s house.

Concern
A caller was concerned about a child near a brook of moving water on Paddington Road Sept. 14. Police spoke with the homeowner of the property and advised her to monitor children or keep children away from the brook for safety.

A River Road caller reported concern for a homeless woman apparently living in her
car Sept. 14. Police advised that they were already working with the woman to assist in her getting housing and assistance from social services.

Civil matter
On Sept. 13, a Meadow Road woman alleged that packages ordered from LL Bean had been delivered to her neighbor’s house by mistake on Aug. 31. The woman said she was not on good terms with her neighbor, and she was concerned that her neighbor had not given her the packages. Police contacted the neighbor. She said she had received the packages and had returned them to a UPS store since the packages were not intended for her.

A Horseguard Lane resident called police regarding a verbal dispute with a contractor over a bill for appliance repair Sept. 15. He said the contractor would not leave. Police went to the house. The resident paid the bill, and the contractor left.

Cars and roadways
A large pile of gravel was reported in the roadway at Rectory and Church lanes Sept. 11. Police barricaded the area and advised nearby workers to clean up their gravel.

On Sept. 11, police taped off a flooded area of Clarence Road and Boulevard.

Police and firefighters helped unlock a parked car on Sage Terrace to release two children who accidentally got locked inside the car. They were released unharmed.

Highway workers cleared flood basins to assist with drainage, as a way to alleviated flooding conditions on Post Road Sept. 11.

On Sept. 11, police cleared branches and storm debris from Greenacres Avenue.

A fallen tree took down a power line on Crane Road Sept. 11. Police notified Con Edison.

Police noticed a parked car on Palmer with a broken window Sept. 13. Nothing was removed from the car. Review of a doorbell camera did not reveal anything suspicious. The break might have been accidental.

Cars were parked on Mamaroneck Road Sept. 13. Police issued parking summonses where appropriate.

On Sept. 13, police observed a driver fail to stop for a school bus on Griffen Avenue. Further investigation showed the Rye Brook driver had a suspended license. Summonses were issued for each offense.

On Sept. 13, police issued summonses to a Connecticut driver because it was determined his license had been suspended.

A caller reported a man asleep at the wheel while driving on Weaver Street around noon Sept. 14.

On Sept. 15, a sanitation worker reported a Lawrence Road resident backed into a sanitation vehicle and left the scene.

On Sept. 16, a Larchmont driver, while travelling through the Village on Popham Road, was found to be driving with a suspended registration. Police issued a summons and removed the car’s license plates.

At the request of a car owner, police turned of lights that had been left on, and they secured the car on East Parkway Sept. 17.

On Sept. 17, a Bronx driver, while travelling through the Village on Crane Road, was found to be driving with a suspended registration and a license suspension. Police issued summonses and removed the car’s license plates.

Village code
A Popham Road resident complained of a beeping alarm that was sounding for over an hour in a neighbor’s apartment Sept. 11. The doorman entered the apartment, which was vacant, and silenced the alarm. It had apparently gotten wet from storm damage and malfunctioned.

On Sept. 12, police removed two illegally posted advertising signs from Montrose Road and issued summonses.

Police dispersed noisy kids from Edgewood School grounds after dark Sept. 16.

Police told kids playing basketball outside on Post Road to keep the noise down after neighbors complained Sept. 16.

Animals
A bobcat was reported on Park Road Sept. 13. It did not appear aggressive or sick, according to the person who allegedly saw it.

Police facilitated a reunion between a lost dog and its owner on Catherine Road Sept. 15.

A blue heron got stuck in a fishing line in Duck Pond on Heathcote Road Sept. 16. Police helped the bird get free from the fishing line.

A resident reported being bitten by a small black dog while walking on Murray Hill Road Sept. 17. The dog’s owner reported the dog slipped from her grip. The dog was up to date with all vaccines. Police issued the owner a summons.

A Barry Road resident reported a raccoon stuck in a construction dumpster on her property Sept. 17. She refused to call an animal trapper and advised her would ask her contractor or the dumpster company for assistance.

Lost and found
Police found a license plate on the ground at Lincoln and Carthage roads Sept. 12. They identified the owner, notified him, and held the license plate at headquarters for pickup.
A woman reported losing her cell phone in Irvington Sept. 13. Police advised her to contact Irvington police.

A passerby found a credit card on Christie Place and gave it to police Sept. 14.

An Audi car key was found on Woodland Place Sept. 17.

Firefighters
On Sept. 11, firefighters helped emergency medical workers with a patient incident on Chateaux Circle.

A dishwasher overheated, ignited the door panel and melted plastic in the panel on Ardmore Road Sept. 11. The fire was out when firefighters arrived. They confirmed the kitchen was safe and removed the dishwasher door panel from the house.

Firefighters assisted at a two-car accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway Sept. 11. Westchester County police took one driver into custody.

Firefighters helped a Walworth Avenue resident with a newly installed hot water heater, which was having problems with the pilot light igniting, Sept. 12.

A Crest Lane garbage disposal would not turn off Sept.12. Police shut power at the circuit breaker.

Firefighters assisted at a car accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway Sept. 14.

A Woods Lane woman locked herself outside the house while a pot of food was cooking on the stove Sept. 14. Firefighters let her back inside the house by gaining entry.

Firefighters shut down an unoccupied elevator because it was not functioning properly on Depot Place Sept. 15.

Firefighters released one occupant from a stuck elevator on Depot Place and shut it down because it was not functioning properly Sept. 16.

Using a grabber took, firefighters retrieved a fallen item from a storm drain on Pinecrest Road Sept. 16.

Graham RoadA Graham Road house caught fire Sept. 29, during a time that firefighters were also responding to over 100 storm-related calls. Upon arrival, firefighters saw a two-story wood frame house with smoke pushing from most of the windows and eaves.

Police on scene did not know if any occupants might be trapped inside because a car was in the driveway. Firefighters began to knock down the fire starting with the exterior patio area. The front door to the structure was open and there was smoke pushing out the top of the doorway. Firefighters searched the house while extinguishment was underway. Crews confirmed no one was inside. Upon entry to the structure, there was little to no visibility due to heavy smoke. Thermal imaging cameras directed firefighters to heat and areas of fire. The fire appeared to be in the “decay phase,” according to firefighters.

Doors were forced open to assist with fighting the fire. Firefighters sprayed water through an access panel in the basement below the main body of the fire and knocked down whatever possible drop-down fire there was. Firefighters worked for about 20 minutes until the fire was out, and then they overhauled the structure to make sure the fire would not re-ignite. Mutual aid was received from neighboring jurisdictions’ fire departments.

Stolen
Power tools worth over $8,000 were stolen from a Myrtledale Road construction site overnight Sept. 28.

Help
Police spoke with a bank manager on East Parkway about a former customer due to manager concerns Sept. 25.

A man walking up and down Carthage Road said he left his girlfriend’s house after a verbal dispute to not exacerbate the situation Sept. 30. His girlfriend picked him up from the scene soon thereafter.

Homeless
A homeless man was sleeping on the platform of the train station Sept. 26. Police notified MTA police.

Dispute
On Sept. 30, a man advised that he was walking on Fox Meadow Road when a car allegedly sped past him. He advised that he motioned for the driver to slow down, at which point the driver turned to confront him, making him fearful. The driver advised that he thought the man was motioning for him to stop but then started yelling at him about speeding. He advised that he travels Fox Meadow Road daily and does not speed. Both parties advised that their disagreement was verbal in nature only and to go their separate ways.

On Sept. 25, police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Post Road.BriteAvenueLawnA Brite Avenue woman reported that during the storm her street was roped off due to flooding. She says, "some nervy neighbor decided to drive up our driveway and straight across the middle of our lovely front lawn. That person did not care for another’s property or the police guidelines and damaged our front lawn!"

A neighbor’s tree branch fell on a Brambach Road resident’s fence and knocked off two clips on it on Sept. 25. No other serious damaged was noted.

Highway workers removed a fallen tree on Weaver Street Sept. 25.

On Sept. 25, police notified Con Edison about fallen wires on Catherine Road.

A caller complained that construction vehicles were blocking Murray Hill Road Sept. 27. Police asked workers to park closer to the curb.

On Sept. 28, a car with a suspended registration was found to be driving on Palmer Avenue. Appropriate summonses were issued.

On Sept. 28, a car with an obscured license plate was found to be driving on Popham Road. Appropriate summonses were issued.

Flooding was present throughout the Village on Sept. 29 due to severe rain.

Numerous roadways were closed, and police helped place sandbags near a Crane Road school doorway to prevent water from entering a classroom.

A tree fell on an Edgewood Road fence and house and damaged part of the ceiling Sept. 29. It also blocked a drainage area for the Village. Police suggested contacting the owner of the tree for removal.

Police informed sanitation workers about a dead squirrel on Sprague Road Sept. 29.

Police placed cones around a small sinkhole on Birchall Drive Sept. 30.

Police asked customers of a Rock Creek Lane estate sale to move their cars that were blocking the roadway Sept. 30.

Police removed a fallen branch from Palmer Avenue Oct. 1.

On Oct. 1, a car got stuck in mud on Bypass, just south of the Heathcote Bridge overpass. The driver was found walking northbound on Bypass toward his residence. He said he was not injured and requested no medical attention. He said he swerved to avoid a large bird on the roadway, struck a "Road Work Ahead" sign belonging to a private business and got stuck in deep mud, which was a result of recent heavy rains.
Potholes formed on Catherine Road and Quaker Circle due to displaced sand from roadway trenches Oct. 1. Police placed cones in the holes to alert motorists.

WaterMainA water main break on Palmer Avenue on September 6.DWI: A driver – Nicole McGee, 35, of White Plains – was arrested after a car accident on Bethel and Richbell roads Sept. 5. The driver struck a utility pole and dislodged it. She was charged with driving while intoxicated – first offense, aggravated DWI, and moving from a lane unlawfully. She was released on her own recognizance with Con Edison was called to examine the pole.

Stolen
On Sept. 4, a Drake Road man reported two checks were stolen from the back porch area of his former house. One was for $619,000 and one was for $59,000. The theft occurred sometime between Sept. 1 and 3.

Update on Pedestrian Death 8-26

Antonio Robles Sanchez, the driver who hit and killed Stephanie Kavourias while she was sitting on a bench in Hartsdale on 8/26, had a minor accident in Scarsdale right before hitting her. According to a Scarsdale Police report at 11 am a white pick up truck driven by Robles Sanchez hit another vehicle at the intersection of Post and Mamaroneck Road.

A Scarsdale Police department spokesman says, “There was a minor collision with no injuries prior to the collision in Hartsdale. Currently, we are conducting a full investigation into the handling of that accident in Scarsdale, cooperating with the Greenburgh PD and the District Attorney’s Office. There were no signs of impairment during the encounter with our officer in Scarsdale." 

However Hartsdale Police charged him with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and driving while intoxicated.

Burglary
A Post Road resident reported that a family member who might be on drugs entered her house through a rear sliding glass door and burglarized the house Sept. 9.

Identity theft
A Circle Road man reported unauthorized transactions on his Bank of America account for over $400 each. He reported it to the bank.

On Sept. 6, an Evon Court woman reported multiple fraudulent attempts to remove money from her bank account were made, and a fraudulent T-Mobile account was opened in her name.

Disputes
Two men were having a verbal dispute about finances under the public dining tent in Village center Sept.4. They agreed to separate for the night. Police provided a courtesy ride to a bus stop on Central Avenue.

On Sept. 5, a Roosevelt Place resident had a verbal dispute with a driver who blocked her driveway during school drop off. A verbal dispute followed. The resident wanted to report the matter to police.

Suspicious
A white man in his 20s with medium length dark hair was allegedly watching children on a Brewster Road playground Sept. 5. When approached, the man ran away toward Chesterfield Road. School officials requested extra police ridebys.

Phone number
On Sept. 5, a Woods Lane mother reported her children’s bus driver rang her doorbell to introduce himself Sept. 5. He allegedly asked her personal questions and asked for her phone number. She felt this was inappropriate and reported it to the bus company. The company said they would change the driver.

Homeless
A disheveled homeless man was allegedly threatening people with a stick on Depot Place Sept. 8. Police observed the man walking with a stick. He said he was getting a donut and would continue his travel. He did not appear aggressive, nor was he threatening anyone.

Civil matters
An ex-employee reported his Scarsdale Avenue employer was refusing to pay him $300 Sept. 8. Police advised it was a civil matter.

A Broadmoor Road resident and household employee were arguing over pay and working conditions Sept. 8. Police de-escalated the argument and advised it was a civil matter.

Cars and roadways
Patrol removed debris from Fox Meadow Road Sept. 4.
A Citi bike was abandoned on Post Road Sept. 5. Police called the company for someone to retrieve it.
A tree fell on Cooper Road striking a house Sept. 6. Police advised the homeowner to contact her insurance company Sept. 6.
A water main broke on Rock Creek Lane and Palmer Avenue Sept. 6. Police closed the roadway to facilitate repairs.
An elderly woman flagged down patrol on Bypass Sept. 8. Police drove her home where she was met by her son. He said she was suffering from early dementia
Police helped a driver change a tire on Post Road Sept. 8.
A driver parked in the Central Taxi lot and a taxi driver blocked the car on purpose Sept. 9. The driver called police. Police advised the parties to call police to work out their differences and explained the lot was private.
A Barker Lane man reported a screw was found in his tire, and he believed it might have been intentionally placed there Sept. 9.
A tree fell on Saxon Woods Road Sept. 9.
Two car accidents were officially reported in Village this week.

AnimalsbobcatAnother bobcat sighting on Harvest Drive in Scarsdale.
A skunk was trapped in a window well at a Parke Road house Sept. 5. Police placed a board at an angle in the window well so the skunk could climb out. Police also provided trappers’ numbers to the resident.

On Sept. 7, police provided a Hamilton Road homeowner with a list of animal trappers because an allegedly injured raccoon was hiding beneath the homeowner’s shed.

A hawk was reported on Chesterfield Road Sept. 8. It was exhibiting normal behavior.

A bobcat was allegedly spotted on Harvest Drive Sept. 9.

On Sept. 9, police shot a sick skunk at Popham and Garth roads in the interest of public safety.

A dog was found on Hillview Road Sept. 9. Police reunited it with its owner and issued a summons for a dog at large.

Village
Police dispersed noisy kids from Edgewood School grounds after dark Sept. 8.

Lost and found
A Harvest Drive woman reported losing a front license plate Sept. 4.
On Sept. 5, a passerby reported finding money at Boulevard and Johnson Road. He said he did not want to turn it in but wanted to report finding it in case someone called looking for it.
On Sept. 7, a passerby reported finding a large sum of cash at Boulevard and Johnson Road the previous day. He brought it to headquarters. Police counted it and vouchered it for safekeeping at headquarters.
A student ID was found on Chase Road Sept. 8.

Firefighters
On Sept. 5, firefighters extinguished an outside fire involving a grill and a propane tank on Franklin Road.
Firefighters helped a Wildwood Road resident with a microwave that would not turn on because it had been placed in a child lock mode Sept. 8. During that time, the resident slumped in her chair and became unconscious for about a minute. The resident had no recollection of the incident. Firefighters called SVAC for evaluation.
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of fallen wires on Saxon Woods Road Sept. 10.
