Stone Barn Center Added to Library's Museum Pass Program

stonebarnsFree passes are now available for Scarsdale Public Library cardholders for weekend visits to Stone Barn Center for Food and Agriculture, an 80-acre farm in northern Westchester dedicated to creating a healthy sustainable food system. The center is a four-season farm and education center attracting more than 100,000 visitors a year.

Stone Barn is the latest addition to the library's Museum Pass program that provides free passes to 18 museums in the region. Included are the Frick, Guggenheim and Intrepid Sea, Air and Space museums in Manhattan, the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT, The Katonah Art Museum and the upstate Storm King Art Center.
Passes can be reserved online at the library website, www.scarsdalelibrary.org. A reservation blocks out three days. Passes can be picked up the day before the reservation and returned the day after. Reservations are for Scarsdale adult cardholders in good standing. Passes are checked out from the Reference Desk and have to be returned there. There is a fine of $10 if the pass is one day late or returned in the book drop. Cardholders should bring a printed copy of the confirmation when they pick up the pass. For additional information, call the Reference Desk at 914-722-1300 ext. 2. Pass holders should check the museum website before a visit for hours and closings. If the pass is due on a day the library is closed, it must be returned by 10 a.m. the following morning.
The program is sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
