More August Closings

39OxfordRoadA quiet week in town with a few more closings recorded. The home pictured at right, 39 Oxford Road was sold but will soon be demolished. The applicant, RGF Developement, already received clearance from the Committee on Historic Preservation.  The lot will be subdivided and two homes will now be built on the site. This week's sales also illustrate glaring real estate tax inequities: A home at 337 Heathcote Road sold for $1,010,000 and is taxed at $19, 438, while a house on Kent Road in Fox Meadow sold for $880,000 and has a tax levy of $30,399. See below:

What is going on in this town!! Let's knock down classic Scarsdale homes so as to make more tax revenue and look the other way! The future for Scarsdale homes will be stoic, cold, and big "empty" homes...just like Greenwich!
