Carnival Time

carnivalazorBy all accounts, the Scarsdale High School Carnival on April 25 and 26 was a big success. Kids young and old and grown-ups too came out in force to enjoy the rides and games from Newtown Carnivals along with food, crafts and fun from Scarsdale High School students and faculty. Teachers were pie'd and dunked and kids had a big laugh. Watch a video of three faculty members getting a pie in the face here:

Faculty government advisors Lauren Barton and Patrick Healy took over the event from Neil Ginsburg who retired in 2013 and was a master at orchestrating the carnival. Barton said, "We had big shoes to fill, but the carnival went smoothly, the weather cooperated and attendance was great on Friday night and Saturday. There were no challenging situations and it was a spiritied event." She reported that both attendance and revenues matched prior years and that funds will be donated to charities to be selected by student government leaders.
