Great American Wines 300x250There's no better way to stock up for the 4th of July than with American wines to celebrate America’s holiday! Stop by Zachys at 16 East Parkway in Scarsdale on Saturday June 22 from 1-4 pm.

Zachys wants to be your Experiential Tasting Destination before you stock up for the 4th of July, and they have assembled a stunning line up that is perfect for the holiday! They are spanning the US with great wines for America’s holiday, including several of the brightest stars from California like Bedrock, Outpost, Robert Foley and Walter Hansel. To make sure we have all of our bases covered, we’ve even included California sparkling wine icon, Schramsberg in the mix.

Westchester native, Andrew Tow will be on site pouring his incredible wines from Withers. Since meeting with Andrew, the staff has been completely enamored with these wines. Every single wine spanning his entire portfolio blew them away, and it was hard to pare the list down to the 4 we they be showing. Make sure to taste these magnificent wines from one of Westchester’s own!

You Can't Take It With You Staged Reading at The Church of St. James the Less (Sat. 22 Jun, 2019 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

CantTakeItPlaybillChill Bucket Productions presents a staged reading of Kaufman and Hart’s classic 1936 comedy, You Can’t Take It with You on June 22, 2019 at 8 pm at The Church of St. James the Less. The 100-seat chapel venue, nestled amidst the 1851 stone church, gives the production a sense of home and nostalgia.

You Can’t Take It with You follows the lives of members of the Sycamore family, an eccentric clan living in New York City, their relationships with the zany characters they surround themselves with, and their interactions with the seemingly normal Kirby family. The Kirby’s are invited over for dinner when Tony Kirby, Jr. and Alice Sycamore strike up a workplace affair, and the madcap, idealistic comedy ensues, reinforcing the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you happy. “Office hours are from 12 to 1 with an hour off for lunch.” It appears the play’s Pulitzer Prize-winning author, George S. Kaufman, embraced this philosophy the most.

Directed by Jeff Rocco (Seattle native), the cast includes actors from Westchester, the Bronx and Long Island:
Rob McEvily, Kevin Arthur, Michelle Moriarty, Dana Celestino, Justin Thomas, Rena Gavigan, Tom Weppler, Leah Wendt, Chris Nardi, Greg Weiss, Benna Strober, Jack McGuirk, Sean Coffey, Liz DiMeo, Margie McCabe, Liz Paldino, Kaitlyn O’Shea, and Allison Samuel

Stage Managed by Dakota Martin (Yonkers resident & Scarsdale employee); Co-produced by Jeff Rocco & Dakota Martin

Reservations and donations can be made at chillbucketproductions.com. Any and all donations are welcome and deeply appreciated. Seating and parking is limited.
