Firefighters Knock Down Early Morning Fire on Church Lane

ChurchLaneFirefighters responded to a call at 4:43 am from 16 Church Lane South on Sunday March 24 where they found smoke in an occupied house. They helped the occupants get out and looked for the source of the smoke. The living room of the house appeared to be under construction and was closed off with a plastic barrier. Inside it was filled with smoke.

Firefighters brought in a hose that stretched to the second floor of the house where they found the fire travelling inside the walls. They were able to quickly extinguish it.

One of the volunteer firefighters sustained minor injuries.
