Street Art and Orchids at the New York Botanical Garden

Lift yourself out of the winter doldrums and immerse yourself in vibrant colors at the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden, on from now until April 26, 2026.

This year’s show is a celebration of New York City featuring common sites of the city covered in flowers. It’s the work of Mr. Flower Fantastic, a floral artist who merges flowers with some of the grittiest elements of city life.

Find a dumpster with orchids peaking out of the lid, a carwash embellished with greenery, a laundromat washing blooms instead of clothes, a newsstand reinvented as a flower kiosk, and even a new subway stop named, “The Orchid Avenue Station.”

The show is beautiful, and at the same time whimsical and humorous. How often do you get a chance to laugh at flowers?

Visit Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concerete Jungle Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden, a 20 minute ride from Scarsdale. The garden is open from 10 am to 6 pm from Tuesday through Sunday.
