Third Quarter Homes Sales Report and a Parade of Open Houses

How has Trump's new tax plan affected local real estate sales? We received these sales figures for Q3 2018 which show somewhat of a rebound in sales, with prices off and properties remaining on the market longer than this time last year.

Here are the third quarter sales figures for Scarsdale and Edgemont.These compare Q3 2018 to Q3 2017 but do not provide a year to date comparison:

In Scarsdale, the number of listings was up, sales remained constant, prices fell 11.88% and properties were on the market 16% longer.

In Edgemont, new listings were up, sales were up dramatically, prices fell by 11.88% and homes were on the market 21% longer.
