Police Report: Man Exposes Himself to Jogger on Fox Meadow Road, Chickens and a Feud

Flasher: On July 19, a 19-year-old caller reported that while she was jogging on Chesterfield and Fox Meadow roads, a black man wearing jeans and a gray tank top exposed his genitals to her.

Stolen
A Brewster Road resident reported that a camera had been stolen from her property July 16.

Identity theft
On July 14, a Colonial Rd. man reported that his wife's American Express card was fraudulently used to make two $376 shoe purchases on July 10. AmEx flagged the transactions as fraudulent and are investigating.

Unwanted conversation
On July 13, a mother came to headquarters to report an incident that happened to her daughter on East Parkway that day. She stated that her daughter was walking when an unknown male approached, asking her about religious conversion. The daughter told the male she was not interested, but he continued to follow her. While walking, she hit a tree branch scratching her forehead. She was advised to contact police if the unknown party attempts to contact her again.

Sleepy
A man wearing a dark colored tank top and shorts was reportedly sleeping on the side of a Berkeley Rd. yard around 5:30 p.m., July 16. The man got up and left before police arrived.

Neighbors
On July 16, a Brewster Rd. resident, with a long history of disagreements and litigation over the property line with her neighbor, reported that her neighbor broke a camera placed on the property line. Patrol was shown video footage of the camera, which was on a cone close to the passenger side front tire of the neighbor's car. The footage then showed the neighbor move his car and knocked the camera over. The neighbor then turned the vehicle around, reversed into his parking spot and hit and damaged the camera while doing so. Police spoke with the neighbor regarding the matter. The neighbor advised that the camera had not been in that location for a long time. Patrol was then shown video footage of the resident placing the camera right up against the passenger side front tire. The neighbor advised he was unaware of the camera being there prior to moving his car and hitting the camera. Both parties were advised to speak with their attorneys in regard to damages or any other resolution to this issue.

Welfare check
Police checked the welfare of a Carman Rd. father because his daughter was worried about him July 14. He was OK.

Help
A man was walking with a cane on Mamaroneck Rd. July 19. Police provided a courtesy ride back to the man's house further down the road into Mamaroneck.

On July 19, a Brook Lane woman heard noises inside her closet and felt scared. Police checked the closet. Nothing concerning was inside.

Civil matter
A process server knocked on a Ridgecrest West door but the resident did not answer and called police July 17. The server left before police arrived.

Cyclist hit
A bicyclist was hit by a car on Mamaroneck rd. July 13.

Cars and roadways
On July 13, police notified Verizon about fallen wires on Nelson and Stratton roads.
Police directed traffic around a disabled car on Post Rd. until it was towed from the roadway July 14.
Police moved a fallen branch from Post Rd. July 14.
On July 14, police notified Verizon about fallen wires on Rectory Lane and Richbell Rd.
A car was repossessed from a Harvest Rd. driveway July 16.
On July 17, cars were parked on the sidewalk on Christie Place. Police issued parking summonses.
Police called a tow for a driver with a flat tire on Post Rd. July 18.
On July 18, a woman fell asleep in her car while listening to the radio on Chateaux Circle. She was in her designated parking spot. She was OK.
A tree fell into wires on Murray Hill Rd. July 19. Police notified Con Edison and the highway department. Firefighters assisted.
Police issued summonses to four drivers for registration and insurance violations, following traffic stops throughout the Village this week.
One car accident was officially reported in the Village this week.

Animals
After Dunham Rd. neighbors complained about possibly illegal animals in a resident's backyard, police were permitted into the yard. They saw a chicken coop but observed no violations July 13.

A Murray Hill Rd. woman found a loose English bulldog wearing a bandana but no collar July 13. She notified police and said she would hold the dog in her yard and give it food and water, pending the owner reaching out to come and pick it up. She also made social media posts to alert the community.

Kids
Police dispersed loud youths from Boulevard after dark July 15.

Village code
A loud generator was running in a house for sale on Wakefield Rd July 14. The real estate agent informed police that the generator runs a weekly test for about 10 minutes. A neighbor, however, said the noise had been ongoing for approximately two hours.

Police removed illegally posted signs from the Village right of way on Stratton Rd. July 14, Griffen Ave. July 15 and Post Rd. July 17. Summonses were issued as appropriate.

After neighbors complained of noise, police asked a Sage Terrace resident to lower the volume of music they were playing July 18.

Firefighters
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a possible gas leak on Stratton Rd. July 15.

Additional numerous false alarm calls occurred this week.
