Police Report Money Missing After Resident Picks up Car from Service Appiontment. House Struck by Lightning

In the backseat, the resident's two children each accidentally left an envelope containing $500 cash. When the car was picked up, the envelopes were no longer in the backseat. The owner and employees of the service center said they neither saw nor took any envelopes.

Car break-in
On July 24, a Cohawney Dr. resident reported that a car in the driveway was tossed and rummaged through. It was last seen untouched approximately three days ago.It was most likely left unlocked. The resident did not think anything had been stolen.

Domestic matter
On July 23, a Morris Lane man called 911. He stated that his girlfriend came home intoxicated, and he has not been happy with the amount she has been drinking lately. He said he wanted to sleep in the pool house alone until the morning. Patrol spoke to the girlfriend who stated that when she arrived home, her boyfriend was unhappy that she had been out drinking with her friends. She said he then locked her out of the house. Both parties stated at no time did the argument become physical. They agreed to sleep in separate houses for the night.

Welfare check
A man was worried about his aunt and uncle on Popham Rd. July 22. Police checked on the couple. They werre OK.

Disagreement
On July 24, a Jefferson Rd. resident reported a disagreement with a neighbor's landscaper. the landscaper allegedly placed equipment on the resident's lawn. The resident spoke to the landscaper about it, and the landscaper allegedly made "discomforting" remarks.

Help

The highway department was notified about a fallen tree in Corell Park July 22.

On July 22, a Mamaroneck Rd. son asked police to check his mother's house because he thought he left it unlocked. Police checked. The house was locked and secure.

Bicyclist hit
A bicyclist was struck by a car turning into a parking spot on East Parkway July 22. The cyclist was driven to White Plains Hospital Center for evaluation.

Cars and roadways
Police issued one summons to an illegally parked car on Brambach Rd. July 20.
A car parked on Sprague Rd. was causing disruption July 20. Police asked the owner to move the car to a better parking spot.
A box truck hit a bridge on the Hutchinson River Parkway and exited at Mamaroneck Rd. July 21. Westchester County police arrived to handle the incident.
On July 22, a driver complained that cars were parked on both sides of Barry Rd., which made navigation difficult. The cars were legally parked. Nevertheless, police asked owners to move the cars to one side of the street in order to alleviate any potential traffic concerns.

Police notified Verizon about fallen wires on Kent Rd. July 23.
Police picked up tree debris from Post Rd. July 26.
Three car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.

Teens
Around 3:15 a.m., July 25, police contacted the parents of an intoxicated young man who was on Brewster Rd. He was conscious and alert. Police remained until the young man was picked up by his parents.

Village code
Police removed and discarded illegally posted signs on Bypass July 22 and Post Rd. July 25. Summonses were issued as appropriate.

A Huntington Ave. resident was doing yard work and was told not to place any yard debris on school property or any property other than his own July 24. The debris was then moved back onto the resident's yard.

On July 24, a person was using a gas-powered leaf blower on Tunstall Rd. in violation of Village code. The person said his electric leaf blower was broken. Police advised him to get it repaired. Police reminded the person about Village code. No summonses were issued.

On July 25, police informed a Brambach Rd. resident that neighbors were complaining about loud music. The volume was promptly lowered.

On July 25, police informed a Mamaroneck Rd. resident that neighbors were complaining about noise. The resident said the family's noisy get-together was ending.

Lost and found
A Post Rd. resident reported losing a driver's license somewhere in the Village July 24.

A Montgomery Rd. resident reported losing a driver's license somewhere in the Village July 25.

Firefighters
An alarm sounded in a Secor Rd. structure due to water leaking into the device July 21. Firefighters shut down the alarm and advised calling a technician for repair.

On July 21, firefighters helped EMS workers move a patient from a private car into a wheelchair.

A Butler Rd. house was struck by lightning July 22. An outlet then started smoking. Firefighters discovered an electrical odor in a second-floor bathroom. They removed the outlet cover and found a burnt outlet with no extension. The electrical circuit was isolated at the garage breaker panel. The irrigation system controller was not functioning, and the plug for it was removed. No other hazards were observed. The resident was advised to contact an electrician for repair.

On July 23, firefighters helped a home health aide lift a patient.

Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas odor on Popham Rd. July 24.

On July 25, a motorcyclist reported that his bike fell over in a School Lane garage. No one was pinned under it, and no fluids or fuel were leaking. Firefighters advised they do not lift or recover equipment unless there is an additional emergency. They advised calling AAA for roadside assistance.

On July 26, firefighters assisted at a car accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway.
