Scarsdale Edgemont Family Service (SFCS) is holding its Annual Gala on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The gala brings our neighbors together to support the agency’s dedication to strengthening mental health awareness within our community.
They are proud to announce that Wendy MacMillan has been named as the SFCS Rising Star Award Recipient in recognition of her outstanding leadership and commitment to wellness, education, and community connection in Scarsdale.
Since moving to Scarsdale in 2012, Wendy—a former teacher with a background in psychology—has been deeply involved in the school community, serving in leadership roles across the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Her work includes helping establish and co-chair multiple Wellness Committees, serving on PTA and PTC executive committees, and contributing as Public Relations Chair for the Scarsdale High School,PTA Scholarship Fund Committee.
Beyond the schools, Wendy has served on the Board of Friends of the Scarsdale Library for more than a decade and currently serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Scarsdale Bowl Foundation and Scarsdale Advocates for Youth.

The Rising Star Award celebrates emerging leaders in the Scarsdale community who exemplify dedication, impactful service, and active volunteerism.
The Rising Star Award will be presented at the SFCS 2026 Annual Benefit Gala on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Scarsdale Golf Club.
