Hundreds of Residents Shovel Up Free Compost

Photo Credit: Jon ThalerSaturday April 25 was another great Free Compost Giveback Day here in Scarsdale! According to Michelle Sterling, Chair of the Scarsdale Conservation Advisory Council, hundreds of residents came and picked up 40 cubic yards of nutrient-rich compost which was made from our very own food scraps! The event is a thank you to all of the food scrappers in Scarsdale and is also a powerful reminder of what a community action can achieve.
