Hard Fought Season Opener for SHS Boys Basketball Team

The Scarsdale bench erupts after a 3-pointer by Harry Spicer.The Scarsdale High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team opened their season at home on December 3rd against New Rochelle. The Raiders started slowly and fell behind by a significant margin, but battled back with relentless defense and timely scoring to erase the deficit. Their late push sent the game into overtime, igniting the home crowd and setting up a dramatic finish.

In the extra period, Scarsdale continued to fight, but New Rochelle made just enough plays to hold on, edging the Raiders 60–57 in the hard-fought season opener. Scarsdale now looks ahead to a challenging matchup at home on December 9th against a very strong Mamaroneck team.
