A Taste of Scarsdale and Spelling Bee Coming Soon

firehousemealSave the date for two upcoming events sponsored by the Scarsdale Library.
It's no secret that firefighters are among the best cooks in town, but their recipes and the techniques that they use remain a mystery to most of us. Now, Scarsdale's firefighters share their favorite meals with the community. Come hear them speak, sample their food, and learn about the volunteer cooking that they do for the families of critically ill and traumatically injured children as part of the Meals that Heal Program at the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley.

The Scarsdale Cookbook Club is an evolving program that will invite residents, cooks and authors to share food-related stories, recipes, and, of course, food.

Subsequent gatherings of the Scarsdale Cookbook Club will bring cookbook authors and food writers to the library. While the roster is still being developed, Melissa Clark will come next year. (She's already booked for April 2017.) In addition to speaking, Melissa will sign copies of her newest cookbook (due out at around the time of her visit.) The club will host events that involve sharing of recipes among community members (with a potluck component).

A Taste of Scarsdale...What's Cooking at the Firehouse?
