Cab Drivers Robbed in Greenburgh

The Greenburgh Police report that the driver of a Westchester Taxi cab driver was robbed on the night of January 5th when he arrived for a pick up on Canterbury Road. When the driver pulled up, two men got into the back seat of the cab, and one pulled out what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash.  The driver turned over money, his cell phone and the car keys and the two men got out of the cab and fled in a dark-colored car that was parked nearby. The driver was not harmed.

This incident is similar to two more cab robberies that occurred on Sunday night January 3rd, one in the vicinity of Prospect Avenue and the other near the intersection of Stadium Road and Hartsdale Road.

In all three incidents the suspects displayed what appeared to be a handgun.

The Greenburgh Police are asking for your help in identifying the two suspects who may have been involved:

2. Black male, age 18-22, tall in stature, thin build wearing dark clothing, a black knit hat and gloves.
