A Visit from Santa at the Tree Lighting in Scarsdale Village

Though Santa arrived in Scarsdale in a police truck rather than a sled, and the weather was rain, not snow – kids lined up to greet him at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting in Scarsdale Village on December 5th. Sponsored by the Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce with s'mores and hot chocolate provided by Lange's, the event drew a crowd to Boniface Circle. Carolers from Hoff Barthelson spread good cheer before the countdown to the tree lighting. Next to the magnificent tree, kids took turns telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Ho ho ho and a merry, merry to all.
