How do you buy or sell a house in a pandemic? Not easily! This spring market is like none other in Scarsdale. See observations on carrying on business from two realtors below. One says that city dwellers are looking for short-term rentals and another is using Zoom for a online open house.

(From Elise Flagg at Houlihan Lawrence) As real estate agents we were mandated to work from home as were many other New Yorkers. The Empire State Development Agency's directives are evolving so we are waiting to get clarification on the most up to the minute new guidelines.

We are still working and doing what we can for our clients …. answering questions, sending relevant information as we receive it and updating them on issues pertinent to their situation.

One thing that has emerged in this unprecedented time is that many of our NYC and Brooklyn clients are asking for short term, furnished rentals. They are finding working from home with small children to be quite onerous. These (rentals) are difficult to come by in the best of times. However, we are trying to be creative and look for solutions if possible.

We are looking forward to brighter days ahead when we can once again be fully immersed in the real estate business.
