The Vernon Hills Shopping Center on the border of Eastchester and Scarsdale has been purchased by the Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp for over $125 million, according to Westfair. 

The shopping center, located at 700 White Plains Road has 380,000 square feet of retail and office space and includes tenants such as West Elm, Starbucks, The Gap, Barnes and Noble, Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic as well as NY Presbyterian and Columbia Medical.

Lord and Taylors on the north end of the shopping center is a separate property.

Paul and Bev Sved's home at 26 Overhill Road will be demolished.The Committee for Historic Preservation gave the green light for the demolition of three homes at their October 21st meeting.

26 Overhill Road, the former home of Scarsdale Mayor and Scarsdale Bowl Winner Beverly Sved will be demolished. Presumably two homes will be constructed on the ¾ acre lot that meets the requirements for a subdivision. The home was built in 1908.
