Unless someone can find a reason to save it, a 1963 split level home in Fox Meadow may be the next victim of the wrecking ball. Preservation News and Home Sales

The Scarsdale Arts Council, lead by Ed Morgan, continues to look for solutions to save the Cudner Hyatt House complex, owned by the Scarsdale Historical Society. Due to lack of interest, the Historical Society proposed rezoning the property for other uses. Fearing that the buildings would be razed or renovated, the Scarsdale Arts Council is exploring how the buildings can be preserved.
To that end, they will hold a community forum on Wednesday night June 20th at 8 pm at Village Hall.
Also to note, the Board of Architectural Review will meet at Scarsdale Village Hall on Monday June 18th. On the agenda, are plans for proposed new homes at 50 Brookby Road, 14 Stratton Road and 4 Jefferson Road. The Committee for Historic Preservation recently cleared the way for the demolition of the Tudor-style home at 50 Brookby Road and there is a proposal to replace it with a sizable colonial which is now listed on the market for $3,675,000.
