Arrested: After observing a car with a flat tire at Post and Heathcote roads at 8:30 a.m., Oct. 26, police conducted a traffic stop, which resulted in the arrest of the driver – Gyasi N. Cooke, 34, of the Bronx – due to police learning of a bench warrant for the driver’s arrest. The warrant was issued by another jurisdiction.
Scam
A Heathcote Road man reported receiving a call claiming he had won a two million dollar prize for paying his energy bill on time Oct. 24. The caller provided information about the man’s family members, which he found to be concerning. The caller further stated he would arrive at the man’s house on Oct. 5 to drive him to the bank to cash the prize check. The man was afraid the scammer would show up at his house and requested police ridebys.
A Herkimer Road woman received an international call from Iran that played a recorded message stating the woman had an outstanding Amazon account balance Oct. 26.
Identity theft
On Oct. 23, an Olmsted Road woman reported someone fraudulently attempted to open an American Express account in her name. The creditor flagged it as suspicious and did not open the account.
On Oct. 23, a School Lane woman reported a fraudulent credit card was opened in her name.
On Oct. 25, a Brookline Road man report someone fraudulently attempted to open a credit card account in his name. The creditor flagged it as suspicious and did not open the account.
Attempted burglary
A Quaker Center resident reported it appeared that someone attempted to enter his house through a broken living room window Oct. 28. The incident occurred while the resident was out for dinner.
Disputes
A driver reported a man, who is a friend of hers, was refusing to leave her car on East Parkway Oct. 23. They had gone to a restaurant and she was providing him with transportation home, but she stopped when he allegedly became angry and began hitting the dashboard and yelling at her. She pulled over and told him to get out of her car, she said. When police arrived, the man got out of the car. The driver confirmed there was no damage to her dashboard.
Police mediated a dispute between residents with a shared Brewster Road driveway Oct. 29. They were advised by police that the matter was civil in nature.
Suspicious
A Fox Meadow Road building manager reported a red Toyota drove into the parking lot, circled the building and a two Asian woman in their 30s, who were inside the car, took photos of the building.
A man wearing what appeared to be a Con Edison vest and employee lanyard rang a Brewster Road woman’s doorbell and asked to read the meter. The woman did not open the door due to not receiving advance notification from Con Edison. She checked the man’s credentials with Con Edison, and the company allegedly had no records of him being employed with Con Edison. He was described as a white man in his late 40s, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall, around 250 pounds and wearing a blue T-shirt and blue baseball cap.
Two young Hispanic men in a small dark colored sedan asked a Murray Hill Road resident if there were any Halloween parties on the street Oct. 26. The resident found it suspicious and called police. The men left in their car.
On Oct. 26, a skinny Asian teenager, approximately 16-21 years old, carrying a yellow notebook knocked on the door of a Brite Avenue house and asked the resident if the household celebrated Christmas. The resident found it suspicious and called police.
Lights were on in a Meadow Road house, and neighbors were concerned it might be because of squatters Oct. 27. Police checked the house and found no evidence of squatters.
Bicyclist hit
On Oct. 24, a child riding a bicycle was struck by a car at Mamaroneck and Catherine roads. The child was able to walk to an ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
Cars and roadways
Police reported low-hanging wires to Verizon on Boulevard Oct. 24.
On Oct. 25, police removed a road closure sign that had been put in place too early, prior to work being actively performed, on Morris Lane.
Police called a tow for a disabled car on Post Road Oct. 26.
A tree fell on North Chase Road, struck wires and damaged a fence Oct. 26.
Construction equipment was making it hard for a Hampton Road resident to get in and out of her driveway Oct. 27. Police asked workers to move the equipment as a courtesy.
Police advised a woman walking on Post Road in skimpy ballet flats to walk on the sidewalk for safety Oct. 27.
Police issued summonses for parking violations on Potter and Lee roads Oct. 28.
Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding on Post Road shortly before midnight Oct 28 into 29. Before police could finish writing the summonses, the 32-year-old White Plains driver sped off. This resulted in additional summonses being issued.
Police helped truck driver with directions on Mamaroneck Road Oct. 29.
Five car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.
Animals
Highway department workers were notified about a dead raccoon in the roadway on Mamaroneck Road Oct. 25.
Firefighters helped assist a magician’s dove from a tree after a caller reported the bird was stuck on a sign in the tree Oct. 27. On arrival units found a large group in the park with a magician. The magician's dove was startled and flew up onto a suspended sign located approximately 25' in the trees. FD units raised the ladder and were able to retrieve the dove from the tree. The dove was returned to the magician.
Village code
Police asked a Carthage Road resident, a Boulevard resident and a Shaw Road resident to lower the volume of music after neighbors complained of noise Oct. 27. The incidents were unrelated.
Police removed illegally posted advertising signs on East Parkway, Popham Road and Taunton Road Oct. 28.
On Oct. 28, police dispersed a large group of kids blocking sidewalks in the area of Greenacres and Walworth avenues.
Police asked a Penn Blvd. resident to lower the volume of music after neighbors complained of noise Oct. 29.
Lost and found
Credit cards and an ID were found on East Parkway Oct. 23.
A Boulevard resident reported lost license plates Oct. 23.
A passerby found a credit card in the Village and gave it to police Oct. 24.

Firefighters
On Oct. 23, a driver noticed his car was smoking on Reimer Road. He exited the car and called for help. Firefighters extinguished a fire under the hood. The damaged car was towed from the scene.
On Oct. 24, firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas leak on Heathcote
Road.
On Oct. 24, firefighters ventilated a Kensington Road house after a gas fireplace was leaking.
A child was stuck in a car seat due to a locked up seat belt at the Scarsdale library Oct. 25. Firefighters cut the seat belt to release the child.
On Oct. 26, firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas leak from an Edgewood Road stove.
A caller reported three teens – two boys and one girl, all wearing black – started a fire at Greendale and Eton roads, then stomped it out and fled the location Oct. 27. Firefighters went to the scene and confirmed the fire was out. Teens should be cautioned that starting fires is illegal and dangerous.
On Oct. 28, firefighters helped retrieve a fallen cell phone from a storm drain on Palmer Avenue.
On Oct. 28, firefighters moved a fallen wire from Crane Road.
On Oct. 28, firefighters assisted a Normandy Lane resident with a water leak into a light fixture and alarm box. They advised the homeowner to call a plumber, an alarm tech and an electrician.
On Oct. 29, firefighters assisted at a car accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway.

Bridgeport Woman Arrested for DWI After Crash into Retaining Wall and Car Chase Through Fox Meadow

Arrested: Following a single-car accident, with injuries, on Griffen and Grand Park avenues Oct. 22, around 11:30 a.m., police arrested the driver – Karla Meldholguin, 22, of Bridgeport, Connecticut – on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), consuming alcohol while in a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving and aggravated unlicensed driving. According to the accident report, the driver’s 2021 BMW, went off the roadway at Griffen Avenue and Grand Park Avenue and struck a stone retaining wall. A bottle of tequila and a water bottle filled with alcohol were found inside the car. Firefighters and police moved the car back to the road and secured it while SVAC assisted the driver prior to her arrest.
Stolen car
On Oct. 19, at 1:45 a.m., police were advised that a black Acura sedan stolen out of New Jersey triggered the license plate reader near the Hartsdale Train Station. Patrol responded to the area and located the reported stolen vehicle stopped in the roadway in front of a Shawnee Road house. As patrol turned onto the street, the vehicle sped away. Patrol was able to maintain a visual of the vehicle as it drove south on Shawnee, west on Chesterfield Road, north on Brite Avenue and then west on Fenimore Road. The vehicle subsequently got on the Bronx River Parkway South at a high rate of speed. Patrol was able to maintain a visual of the vehicle and relay its location to the dispatcher who sent out a bulletin to other agencies. Patrol discontinued following the vehicle, and Westchester County Police intercepted it further south. Patrol subsequently responded back to the area where the vehicle was first located to canvass for any signs of criminal activity, with negative results.
Identity theft
On Oct. 19, a Burgess Road woman reported someone applied for an American Express cash card in her name without her permission.
Dispute
On Oct. 18, a driver on Scarsdale Avenue reported her partner was refusing to exit her vehicle despite being asked numerous times. The driver said the incident has not gotten physical and requested police assistance. Police made contact with the partner who stated that he was just waiting for his taxi to arrive and would be leaving shortly. While patrol was on scene, the partner's taxi arrived, and he left without further incident.
Disorderly conduct
On Oct. 22, an Edgewood Road resident reported that he received a Door Dash delivery from a white sedan occupied by two men. Upon receiving the delivery, the resident believes the passenger of the vehicle urinated into a gallon jug and left it on his front lawn. Door Dash was notified of this incident. The resident requested a report for documentation purposes only.
Suspicious
On Oct. 19, a caller advised of a suspicious person wearing a green and white scarf around his neck “ripping down posters and staring at people” on East Parkway. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
On Oct. 21, at 10:20 p.m., a Paddington Road resident reported someone rang the doorbell and ran away. The involved party was described as wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and white sneakers.
Pedestrian struck
On Oct. 19, a caller advised that on October 12, around 1 p.m., he was walking on the sidewalk near the ramp to the underground Christie Place Garage when a vehicle that was exiting struck him. Due to several days passing between the incident and the caller advising the police department, he was directed to complete a civilian accident report on the NYS DMV website.
Cars and roadways
Police issued summonses to an illegally parked car on Paddington Road Oct. 18.
Police issued fived summonses to a driver following a traffic stop on Mamaroneck Road Oct. 18.
On Oct. 19, a caller reported a suspicious gray pickup truck parked in front of a Meadow Road house with dark tinted windows. The driver was sleeping inside. He said he was on his way from Yonkers to Connecticut. Police issued summonses for observed violations.
On Oct. 19, ambulance personnel reported a maroon Subaru crossed over the solid double yellow line and struck the ambulance at Post and Popham roads and did not stop. The car continued into Eastchester. Dispatch notified Eastchester police.
Patrol notified Con Edison about a low-hanging wire on Madison Road Oct. 20.
A car ran out of gas on Post Road Oct. 20. Police offered assistance, but the driver said AAA was already on its way.
A tree fell on Ardmore Road Oct. 21. Police put caution tape around the tree and notified the highway department.
Police issued a summons to an improperly parked car on Christie Place due to the fact the driver of the neighboring car could not access his own car due to the cars touching each other Oct. 21.
Police assisted a driver with a flat tire on Mamaroneck Road Oct. 21.
Animals
A woman and her dog were allegedly “swarmed by bees” on Post Road Oct. 19. She then advised she lost her dog in the commotion. Patrol arrived on scene and was able to locate the missing dog. The woman did not request any medical attention.
Village code
On Oct. 22, police removed an illegally posted sign on Griffen Avenue. A summons was issued.
Lost and found
Patrol found a medical insurance card on Boulevard and notified the insurance agency Oct. 18. The customer service representative stated she would notify the owner and issue a replacement card. She requested that police dispose of the insurance card.
A driver’s license was found at Post and Burgess roads Oct. 20.
On Oct. 22, a Kelwynne Road resident reported losing the front license plate of his car.
Firefighters
Firefighters assisted with a car accident on the Bronx River Parkway Oct. 17.
On Oct. 18, firefighters were called to a Vanderbilt Road house for a reported odor of gas. Firefighters traced the odor of natural gas to the stove and requested a Con Edison response. They verified a minor gas leak and shut the gas service to the stove. The resident was advised to service the unit by using a qualified repair technician prior to turning the gas back on. The structure was checked, and no additional hazards were observed.
Firefighters assisted with a car accident on the Hutchison River Parkway Oct. 18.
Firefighters notified Con Edison about a tripped electrical transformer on Sycamore Road Oct. 20.
Firefighters stood by while Con Edison assisted a Jefferson Road resident with loose wiring involving the house electrical service from the street Oct. 21.

Police Report: BMW Stolen from Greendale Road and Man Drives Through Garage Door

Stolen car: On Oct. 9, a Greendale Road resident reported his 2015 BMW 328 had been stolen from his driveway overnight.
Kitchen fire
On Oct. 5, firefighters received a report of a kitchen fire on Coralyn Road. Upon arrival, firefighters observed an alarm sounding from the exterior. During investigation, they observed moderate smoke on the first floor and encountered the homeowner who reported all occupants were out of the structure. The fire appeared to have been confined to the kitchen and extinguished by the homeowner prior to firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters requested an ambulance to evaluate the homeowner for smoke inhalation. Firefighters verified that there was no extension of the fire, and they ventilated the structure. They removed a damaged over-the-range microwave from the house. Firefighters also isolated power and shut the appliance valve to the natural gas range. The homeowner reported that the range may have inadvertently been left on with a food processor and other cookware left too close to the burner. The homeowner also reported that she was alerted by the activated alarm system and used a pot of water to extinguish the fire. Firefighters advised the homeowner to discontinue use of the range and to contact her insurance company to initiate the remediation process. According the firefighters’ reports, the fire appeared to start from an unattended pot on the gas stovetop. Melted plastic was observed on a burner. The overhead microwave control panel was also melted.
Identity theft
On Oct. 3, a Madison Road woman reported someone stole her wallet in the past and she now noticed that someone used her personal information to apply for credit.
Suspicious
A Palmer Ave. bank manager reported two men in a car with Pennsylvania plates might be casing the bank Oct. 4.
A Palmer Avenue man reported that someone was issued an order of protection, in favor of the man, and that person had violated it by allegedly circling the man’s house by car Oct. 6.
Help
Police checked the welfare of a Fox Meadow Road woman following a reported argument with her husband Oct. 6. All was in good order.
Cars and roadways
Police notified Verizon about a black box hanging from a utility pole on Brookby Road Oct. 2.
A South Woods Lane resident reported an elderly neighbor drove through his garage door Oct. 2. Upon arrival, crews encountered an SUV and one occupant who had driven through a closed garage door. The garage door, frame, rails, and track were compromised. SVAC members initiated patient care. Firefighters removed the door and stabilized the entryway for patient/occupant removal. The patient was assisted out of the vehicle and transported by EMS. Firefighters evaluated the ceiling joists and determined the garage doorframe was non-load bearing. The building department conducted a structural assessment. Firefighters isolated an electrical wire feeding a compromised exterior light fixture and removed the garage doorframe. Airbags were used to center the vehicle in the garage to prevent further damage during towing. The vehicle was removed by a private tow. The son of the patient was on scene for home securement.
On Oct. 3, while conducting traffic enforcement in the vicinity of Popham Road and Elmdorf Drive, patrol’s license plate reader indicated a suspended/revoked registration. Patrol conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the operator who was unaware of the suspended status of the vehicle, as it was not registered to him. The license plates were removed, and the vehicle was towed. Two summonses were issued.
Polices pulled over a Chevy Impala’s driver for speeding on Post Road Oct. 3. The car was not properly registered, as well. Police issued appropriate summonses.
Police discarded a bag of construction debris left on Chase Road Oct. 3.
Police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Bypass Oct. 3.
On Oct. 4, police directed traffic around a disabled car on Post Road while the driver waited for assistance.
On Oct. 4, a woman who works as a Saxon Woods Road caretaker advised her car might have been damaged by landscapers while it was parked at work in July. Her employer said he would contact his doorbell camera provider to see if he could get archived footage from that date.
Police called a tow for a car that broke down on Popham Road Oct. 5.
On Oct. 6, police notified the highway department about a developing pothole on Harvest Drive.

A Popham Road man reported finding a “sword” in his driveway Oct. 4. It was identified as a landscaping machete.
On Oct. 4, a Boulevard resident reported losing his front license plate.
A person found a cellphone on Wayside Lane and brought it to police Oct. 5.
A person found a wallet on Lincoln Road and brought it to police Oct. 6.
On Oct. 6, police pulled over the driver of a Mercedes-Benz for an expired inspection sticker. Numerous other registration and licensing violations were observed, and police issued appropriate summonses. The plates were also removed, and the car was towed.
Keys were found on East Parkway Oct. 8. Police identified the owner, and the owner of the keys picked them up.
On Oct. 8, a Secor Road resident reported losing license plates.
Firefighters
On Oct. 2, a firefighter was cleaning and during an attempt to move an inflatable rescue boat, it slipped out of the firefighter’s grasp, hit the ground, and then bounced back up, striking his neck.
On Oct. 2, firefighters helped an Edgewood Road resident get back in the house after being locked outside accidentally.
On Oct. 3, firefighters helped a driver change a flat tire on Post Road.
Firefighters were called to address a sparking outlet in a Ferncliff Road house Oct. 7.
On Oct. 5, firefighters shut down a hot water heater, boiler and furnace due to elevated carbon monoxide levels in an Ogden Road house.
On Oct. 6, a boiler technician said the firebox of a Mamaroneck Road boiler had extra fuel that ignited and caused a puff back. Firefighters assisted with ventilation.
Police moved a manhole cover back in place on Popham Road Oct. 7.
Police and firefighters taped off numerous roadways in the Village due to flash flooding Oct. 7. Where trees and wires were also down, appropriate notifications were made.
On Oct. 7, firefighters and police responded to numerous storm-related calls, including flooding, sewage backups and fallen trees, branches and wires on Clarence Road, Sprague Road, Lorraine Place, Fox Meadow Road, Paddington Road, Brookby Road, Bypass and Leatherstocking Lane.
On Oct. 7, firefighters responded to a reported extinguished electrical outlet fire at a private residence on Ferncliff Road. On arrival, firefighters were directed by the resident to an exterior outlet that arched during a rainstorm. The resident advised the circuit breaker had tripped. The resident then claimed to have turned the breaker back on, and it arched at that point. The resident then shut back off the circuit breaker. Firefighters confirmed the circuit break was off and isolated the outlet. Firefighters confirmed extension both inside and outside the structure, noting that negative extension was found.
On Oct. 8, firefighters pumped water out of a Catherine Road basement.
On Oct. 8, firefighters traced a gas odor to a burner left on, without ignition, in a Brambach Road house, Oct. 8.
A Locust Lane man was burning something in a metal container in the backyard Oct. 8. Firefighters asked him to extinguish it.

Scams
On Oct. 12, a Drake Road resident advised she had been scammed out of $6,100 in gift cards.
On Oct. 12, a Heathcote Road woman advised she had been scammed out of $300 on the Scarsdale Social site.
Dispute
Police intervened in a dispute between a woman and an employee of a package pickup location on Scarsdale Avenue Oct. 9. The employee would not release the package to the woman because she did not have a photo ID. Police assisted her and convinced the employee to accept an insurance card as proof of ID in order to release the package.
Cars and roadways
On Oct. 9, police put traffic cones around a sewer where the grate cap fell inside on Weaver Street, while waiting for firefighters who arrived to retrieve and replace the grate.
On Oct. 9, police issued summonses to a 44-year-old Bronx driver found driving on Sherbrooke Road with a suspended registration.
Police advised the driver of a construction vehicle to relocate the parked vehicle because a resident was having trouble accessing her driveway on Hampton Road Oct. 11.
On Oct. 12, police issued summonses to a 28-year-old White Plains driver found driving on Post Road with a suspended registration and an insurance violation.
On Oct. 13, police re-positioned a loose sewer cap on Heathcote Road.

On Oct. 10, firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of an indoor gas odor in a Brewster Road house. The Con Edison technician verified a leak from an appliance, isolated it and advised contacting a plumber to perform a repair. Firefighters assisted with ventilation.
On Oct. 11, firefighters helped pump water from a Haverford Road basement.
On Oct.11, firefighters helped a Penn Blvd resident change a smoke detector battery.
On Oct. 14, firefighters partially extinguished a fireplace fire with a water can and opened a closed flue at a home on Heathcote Road. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear smoke from the house. The house was evaluated for carbon monoxide with negative results. Firefighters educated the resident on proper function of the flue and discussed the importance of flue and chimney inspection and maintenance.

Police Report: Graham Road House Catches Fire During Storm, Plus Flooding and Downed Trees

A Graham Road house caught fire Sept. 29, during a time that firefighters were also responding to over 100 storm-related calls. Upon arrival, firefighters saw a two-story wood frame house with smoke pushing from most of the windows and eaves.
Police on scene did not know if any occupants might be trapped inside because a car was in the driveway. Firefighters began to knock down the fire starting with the exterior patio area. The front door to the structure was open and there was smoke pushing out the top of the doorway. Firefighters searched the house while extinguishment was underway. Crews confirmed no one was inside. Upon entry to the structure, there was little to no visibility due to heavy smoke. Thermal imaging cameras directed firefighters to heat and areas of fire. The fire appeared to be in the “decay phase,” according to firefighters.
Doors were forced open to assist with fighting the fire. Firefighters sprayed water through an access panel in the basement below the main body of the fire and knocked down whatever possible drop-down fire there was. Firefighters worked for about 20 minutes until the fire was out, and then they overhauled the structure to make sure the fire would not re-ignite. Mutual aid was received from neighboring jurisdictions’ fire departments.
Stolen
Power tools worth over $8,000 were stolen from a Myrtledale Road construction site overnight Sept. 28.
Help
Police spoke with a bank manager on East Parkway about a former customer due to manager concerns Sept. 25.
A man walking up and down Carthage Road said he left his girlfriend’s house after a verbal dispute to not exacerbate the situation Sept. 30. His girlfriend picked him up from the scene soon thereafter.
Homeless
A homeless man was sleeping on the platform of the train station Sept. 26. Police notified MTA police.
Dispute
On Sept. 30, a man advised that he was walking on Fox Meadow Road when a car allegedly sped past him. He advised that he motioned for the driver to slow down, at which point the driver turned to confront him, making him fearful. The driver advised that he thought the man was motioning for him to stop but then started yelling at him about speeding. He advised that he travels Fox Meadow Road daily and does not speed. Both parties advised that their disagreement was verbal in nature only and to go their separate ways.
Cars and roadways
On Sept. 25, police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Post Road.
A Brite Avenue woman reported that during the storm her street was roped off due to flooding. She says, "some nervy neighbor decided to drive up our driveway and straight across the middle of our lovely front lawn. That person did not care for another’s property or the police guidelines and damaged our front lawn!"
A neighbor’s tree branch fell on a Brambach Road resident’s fence and knocked off two clips on it on Sept. 25. No other serious damaged was noted.

On Sept. 25, police notified Con Edison about fallen wires on Catherine Road.
A caller complained that construction vehicles were blocking Murray Hill Road Sept. 27. Police asked workers to park closer to the curb.
On Sept. 28, a car with a suspended registration was found to be driving on Palmer Avenue. Appropriate summonses were issued.
On Sept. 28, a car with an obscured license plate was found to be driving on Popham Road. Appropriate summonses were issued.
Flooding was present throughout the Village on Sept. 29 due to severe rain.
Numerous roadways were closed, and police helped place sandbags near a Crane Road school doorway to prevent water from entering a classroom.
A tree fell on an Edgewood Road fence and house and damaged part of the ceiling Sept. 29. It also blocked a drainage area for the Village. Police suggested contacting the owner of the tree for removal.
Police informed sanitation workers about a dead squirrel on Sprague Road Sept. 29.
Police placed cones around a small sinkhole on Birchall Drive Sept. 30.
Police asked customers of a Rock Creek Lane estate sale to move their cars that were blocking the roadway Sept. 30.
Police removed a fallen branch from Palmer Avenue Oct. 1.
On Oct. 1, a car got stuck in mud on Bypass, just south of the Heathcote Bridge overpass. The driver was found walking northbound on Bypass toward his residence. He said he was not injured and requested no medical attention. He said he swerved to avoid a large bird on the roadway, struck a "Road Work Ahead" sign belonging to a private business and got stuck in deep mud, which was a result of recent heavy rains.
Potholes formed on Catherine Road and Quaker Circle due to displaced sand from roadway trenches Oct. 1. Police placed cones in the holes to alert motorists.
One car accident was officially reported in the Village this week.

Police asked a Shaw Road party host to have his DJ lower the volume of music after a neighbor complained Sept. 30.

Lost and found
On Sept. 25, a license plate was found on Mamaroneck Road.
On Sept. 26, a Hampton Road man reported losing his license plates.
On Sept. 28 and 30, Village residents reported losing their license plates.
A large drum-like container floated onto a Madison Road property during the heavy rainstorm Sept. 29. Police advised the homeowner to contact the sanitation department for disposal.

Firefighters
Firefighters helped an Obry Drive resident turn off a malfunctioning car alarm Sept. 25.
Firefighter pumped water from a flooded window well on Shawnee Road Sept. 25.
A six-year-old Parkfield Road boy accidentally locked himself in his bedroom Sept. 27. Firefighters used a ladder to gain access to the room and helped open the door.
On Sept. 27, firefighters assisted at a car accident on the Bronx River Parkway.
Firefighters responded to numerous calls for assistance with flooding, water entering light fixtures, flooded basements and roadways, and people stuck in waterlogged cars due to storm conditions Sept. 29.
On Oct. 1, firefighters assisted at a car accident on Weaver Street.
