Police Report: Tip Jar Stolen, Thief Escapes by Train and Man Defrauded of $84,000

Stolen: A woman described as a black female wearing a leather jacket stole the tip jar from an East Parkway business and boarded a train July 21. Police notified MTA police.
A Fox Meadow Rd. resident reported her electric scooter had been stolen from the bike rack on East Parkway July 22.
Bank fraud
On July 25, a Brittany Close resident reported that he was the victim of bank fraud. Specifically, he said that on June 24, 2025, he was notified by a supposed Chase Bank fraud department employee, about alleged fraudulent activity on his account. He said he then followed all instructions given to him by the alleged Chase employee. He said that the alleged Chase employee instructed him to do three separate transactions on his account that varied in amount, totaling $84,270. He advised that he then notified Chase Bank directly on June 25, and he was informed that the alleged Chase employee, who called him on June 24, did not work for Chase Bank, and it was determined that he was a victim of fraud. Chase Bank informed the resident that the three transactions made on his account were indeed fraud, and the resident was able to recoup approximately only $10,000 back into his account through the appropriate Chase Bank fraud channels.
Checks
A Claremont Rd. business owner reported that someone washed and fraudulently cashed one of her checks July 22.
An Eastwoods Lane woman reported, on July 24, that a Geico Insurance check, in the amount of $3,676.96 was improperly mailed to an old address and fraudulently cashed by an unknown person. Geico reported that the check bore two signatures, the first being a signature in the woman’s name. However, the woman said the signature was not her original signature. Geico required a police report in order to proceed with reissuing payment to the woman.
Identity theft and fraud
On July 25, a School Lane woman reported that someone fraudulently opened an American Express account in her name.
On July 27, a Fox Meadow Rd. man reported that he received a call from an unknown party claiming to be from Verizon. The man stated that the unknown party advised him that a phone line was opened at a branch in Virginia using his identifying information. He was connected to another unknown party claiming to be police. He stated these unknown parties claimed he was caught up in a money laundering scheme and he would have to agree to be monitored by video for 24 hours to be cleared. He stated he did not participate in this monitoring, nor did he share any sensitive information. The man said he has not incurred any financial loss or observed any further suspicious activity.
On July 27, a Popham Rd. woman reported fraudulent transactions on her credit card. She presented a credit card bill which showed a charge made on July 24 for $2,256.81 for services of a listed business. The woman stated that she had stayed at the establishment in May, paid in full and had not returned or booked any additional rooms. The woman said her bank advised her to speak with the business management. The caller said she called the business and was informed there was no manager on duty. She asked police to document the occurrence.
Confusion
A woman from New York City repeatedly called police headquarters asking to speak with Joe Biden July 23. Police notified NYC police, and they said they would send an ambulance to her location for a mental health evaluation.
Domestic matters
A Gorham Rd. caller first reported his parents had gotten into an argument the preceding night and the caller wanted to make a report. Further information alleged that the caller had been driving to school with at least one of his parents the previous night and at least one of his parents began criticizing his driving, which upset the caller. Police noted the report, at the caller’s request.
A Cooper Rd. resident reported having difficulty with her adult daughter, who lives at home, July 24. According to the resident, the daughter often locks herself in her bedroom and does not communicate with others. The resident said her family, except for the daughter, would be going away for the weekend, and the resident was concerned about leaving her daughter home alone. She was worried about the security of the home, she said. Police advised the resident with options for dealing with the situation through the family court system as well as for safeguarding the home.
Water
A hose was left running outside a Sycamore Rd. house July 21. Police turned off the water supply at the spigot.
Police informed the water department about a small stream of water on Ridgecrest North July 21.
Suspicious
A Horseguard Lane resident reported seeing a tall man with dark hair walking around her property, allegedly taking pictures, July 24. She requested extra ridebys.
Help
On July 27, police went to a Saxon Woods Rd. youth party where the host said that attendees were not leaving as planned. Police remained on scene until the guests left. Staff was able to clean up and vacate the premises.
A Christie Place elevator briefly malfunctioned with an occupant inside July 27. The occupant pressed the emergency button, and police contacted the front desk of the building. Police spoke with a desk attendant who said the condition had been resolved.
Police helped the owner of a bike remove the bike from the East Parkway bike rack after the owner lost the lock key July 27. The provided paperwork and receipts proving that he owned the bike.
Cars and roadways
Workers accidentally pulled down wires on Kensington Rd. July 21. Police notified Con Edison and Verizon.
A loose manhole cover near Wayside Lane was reported to the highway department July 21.

On July 22, police issued summonses to a 36-year-old White Plains driver for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver following a car accident at Bypass and Weaver St.
A Heathcote Rd. woman reported a man sitting in a car with its hazard lights flashing outside her house July 22. She was afraid. Police went to the scene and spoke with the man. He was an Uber driver waiting for a pickup. While police were talking with him, the person who had requested the ride cancelled it because the person had accidentally entered an incorrect pickup address.
Police towed a disabled car from Richbell Rd. July 24.
On July 24, police issued summonses to a 32-year-old Bronx driver for operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to obey a traffic control device following a traffic stop for an illegal U-turn at Scarsdale Avenue and Popham Rd. Police removed the license plates from the car, and the car was towed to a safe location.
Verizon was notified about dangling wires on Richbell Rd. and Crossway July 24.
A tree fell on Autenreith Rd. July 25. Police made the area safe while Con Edison, Verizon and the highway department worked to correct the problem.

Police informed tree workers on Crossway that they could not begin work until 8 am, on July 26, due to Village code.
Police issued a summons to landscapers using a hedge trimmer outside of Village code restrictions on Aspen Rd. July 26.
Lost and found
A Capital One credit card was found on the street on Fox Meadow Rd. July 21. Police infirmed Capital One in order to cancel the card and attempt to notify the owner.
Firefighters
On July 21, firefighters assisted at a car accident on Mamaroneck Rd.
Firefighters contacted the water department about a leaking hydrant on Penn Blvd. July 21.
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison due to a gas leak at a Scarsdale Ave. restaurant July 23.
Firefighters checked Village Hall after employees noticed a burning odor following the start of the HVAC system July 24. There were no observable hazards found, and Village Hall employees were advised to contact a service technician to check the system.
On July 26, a carbon monoxide alarm sounded inside a Christie Place parking garage. Workers were power washing inside the garage and their machines released carbon monoxide. Firefighters advised to ventilate the garage and refrain from using equipment until levels returned to normal. When using equipment, they were advised to maintain proper ventilation and use CO measuring devices to ensure safety.
Firefighters checked a Cushman Rd. house after the resident reported an odor while using a new gas fireplace July 27. The odor, reminiscent of burning plastic, was attributed to the burning off of manufacturing residues.

Police Report: Plants Stolen on Cushman Road and Fireworks Damage SHS Track

Stolen: On July 16, a Cushman Rd. resident reported yard plants were missing from his property. He reviewed video surveillance and saw someone near the plants on July 12.
Vandalism
Picnic tables were vandalized at Edgewood School grounds July 17. Police are following up and reviewing video footage.
Identity theft and scams
On July 17, a Quentin Rd. resident reported that someone attempted to open a fraudulent Wells Fargo credit card in her name without permission. The car was closed by the bank.
On July 20, a Coralyn Rd. resident reported being the victim of a pfishing scam, resulting in the loss of 30 gift cards.
Cars and roadways
On July 14, police removed biodegradable leaf bags from a storm drain on Fox Meadow Rd. and placed them in the proper location for sanitation pickup.
On July 14, police put up barricades to prevent cars from entering flooded roadways on Sprague Rd.
On July 15, police put a “road closed” sign at the entrance to the Bronx River Parkway on Fenimore Rd.
On July 19, police informed the highway department about a loose manhole cover on Montrose Rd.

Neighbors
On July 16, a Gaylor Rd. resident complained about the placement of his neighbor’s yard waste. Police attempted to speak with the neighbor, but no one was home. Police advised the resident to have a friendly conversation about the issue.

As a courtesy, police helped a Bradford Rd. woman contact Verizon’s technical support line to attempt to resolve issues she was having with her phone July 15.
On July 17, police advised a person who asked to use a bathroom inside a Christie Place establishment that the person was not welcome inside the establishment.
Animals
On July 15, police removed a large turtle from Olmsted Rd. and relocated it to a safe, grassy area.
Village code
Police removed illegally posted signs from Overhill Rd. July 15, Sherbrooke Rd. July 16, Walworth Ave. and Bypass July 17, and Cornell St. July 18. Summonses were issued as appropriate.
A van was allegedly idling on Harwood Rd. for over an hour July 18. Police could not find the owner. So, police issued a summons.
Fireworks were being used on the high school track, on Post Rd., July 19. Youth were seen fleeing the area. The fireworks started a small brush fire, which firefighters extinguished. However, the fire caused some damage to the track.
Lost and found
On July 15, a Post Rd. resident reported her front license plate was missing.
An East Parkway resident reported losing a learner’s permit for driving July 15.
On July 16, an Inness Rd. resident reported his front license plate was missing.
A wallet was found on East Parkway July 16. Patrol returned the wallet to its owner.
A second wallet was found on East Parkway July 18. Patrol returned the wallet to its owner.
A wallet was found on Weaver St. July 19. Patrol returned the wallet to its owner.
Prescription sunglasses were found at the Scarsdale train station July 19. They belonged to an MTA employee, who picked them up.
A passerby found a driver’s license in the Village July 19. Police delivered it to the husband of the Wayside Lane resident who lost it.
Firefighters
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a burning wire on Fox Meadow Rd. July 14.
On July 15, firefighters assisted with cleanup following an accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway.
Firefighters shut water to a leaking hot water heater and advised the resident to call for service July 15.
On July 18, firefighters ventilated a Rock Creek Lane house because workers had been power washing too close to the house and carbon monoxide levels were elevated.
On July 18, firefighters used pressurized water to extinguish smoldering mulch on East Parkway.
On July 19, firefighters assisted at a car accident on tbe Hutchinson River Parkway involving a Westchester County police cruiser and a vehicle. One person from each vehicle was taken to the hospital for injuries,
An excavation contractor struck a gas line on Dolma Rd. July 19. Firefighters stood by for Con Edison and stabilized the scene until firefighters arrived.
Firefighters helped paramedics lift a medical patient in Greenacres July 20.
A dishwasher shorted in a church on Walworth Avenue causing a burning odor July 20. Firefighters disconnected the unit and ventilated the space.

Police Report: Burglary on Deerfield Lane and Kids Board Wrong Bus

Burglary: On July 10, a Deerfield Lane resident observed, via video surveillance, two masked individuals inside his house. The burglar alarm was also sounding. Police went to the scene and determined the house had been burglarized. Patrol set up a perimeter and made entry into the location. They made sure no one was inside the house.
Scam
On July 7, a Fenimore Rd. man reported being scammed out of money. He said he attempted to sell his e-bike on Next Door for $200. He stated a party was interested and sent a check for $2,100 for payment of the bike and alleged movers. The check appeared to have cleared on July 1, at which time he sent the party a money order for $1,800 for the movers. On July 3, the bank stated the check was fraudulent. The man requested a report for documentation purposes.
Tampering
On July 10, an ATM at a Scarsdale Ave. location appeared to have been tampered with. Police recommended that the business manager take the ATM out of service and call a technician to service it.
Domestic dispute
On July 7, a Larch Lane man reported arguing with his brother. Police de-escalated the situation, and the brothers agreed to stay away from each other and give each other space.
Harassment
On July 8, a Nelson Rd. man reported being harassed by someone with whom he got into a car accident in Chile earlier this year. The person was using WhatsApp to send unwanted messages, which were becoming more threatening and which were also coming from a different phone number. Police advised him to ignore the messages.
Disorderly conduct
Police stood by for MTA police at the Scarsdale train station after complaints were received about a white woman with brown hair and a pink backpack yelling at people in an agitated way July 9.
Help
On July 10, police helped an Ogden Rd. resident removed a stuck key from a door lock without causing any damage.
Fear
On July 12, a Depot Place liquor store sold a high-end bottle of alcohol to a person who presented a driver’s license and credit card. Although the transaction went through, the manager of the store was afraid that the purchase might be fraudulent because she had a similar fraudulent incident involving a person with a similar address.
Wrong bus
On July 11, a Brittany Close woman reported that her children got on the wrong bus, and she didn’t know where the bus was going. Later, she called back and said she had gathered more information about the bus and its destination.
Uninvited guests
Uninvited guests arrived at a Harvest Drive graduation party July 10. Police helped the host disperse the party crashers.
Damaged window
On July 13, a Brite Ave. resident reported his son’s window was shattered, yet still intact in the window frame. The son stated he heard a loud bang in the middle of the night, at which time he looked outside and observed a sedan exiting his driveway at a high rate of speed. He said he was not sure if the window was shattered. Patrol did not find any objects outside the residence that may have caused damage. Patrol observed the window was double-sided, and the interior window was not damaged.

On July 7, a parkway entrance sign fell into Mamaroneck Rd. Police notified the local department of transportation in order to repair it.
Police notified Verizon about a fallen wire on Haverford Rd. July 7.
A nanny parked her employer’s car near Brewster Rd. and could not find it when she was looking to leave July 8. Police canvassed the area and found the car.
The local department of transportation was notified about flashing traffic signals at Palmer Ave. and Wynmor Rd. and Secor Rd. and Bypass July 9.
On July 9, police notified Con Edison about a utility pole with live wires that fell over on Fairview Rd.
On July 12, a street sign at Palmer Ave. and Foxhall Rd. fell over. Police notified the highway department for replacement.

On July 7, a fanny pack was found on East Parkway. Police reunited it with its owner, who came to headquarters to report losing it.
A wallet was found on Palmer Ave. July 8.
On July 12, a black bi-fold wallet was found on Fox Meadow Rd. It contained multiple Metro cards.
Firefighters
On July 8, firefighters retrieved a woman’s cell phone after it fell through a storm drain cover on Christie Place.
On July 8, firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas leak on Spier Rd. Firefighters evacuated residents at the site of the suspected gas leak. Gas was leaking from a stove, where a knob had not been properly shut down. Firefighters assisted with ventilation.
Lightning struck a tree on Farragut Rd. July 8. Splintered fragments of the tree were on the ground. The house breaker was tripped, and a burning odor was detected in the basement. Firefighters recommended calling a tree surgeon and an electrician.
Three occupants got stuck in a Post Rd. elevator July 9. Firefighters unlocked the elevator and got the occupants out. On July 11, firefighters assisted with a car accident on Weaver St.

Police Report: Woman Arrested for Removing Car Boot – and a Lost Necklace, Lost Kids, and a Running Sink

Arrested: On June 30, police arrested a 33-year-old Wappingers Falls woman on charges of third-degree criminal tampering and obstruction of governmental administration for an alleged crime that occurred in the Christie Place garage June 26. The woman, who works at a business on Boniface Circle, removed a boot from her vehicle's tire, which was placed on their tire by our contracted tow company. The vehicle was a scofflaw and had multiple unpaid parking tickets. The vehicle was observed the next day parked in Scarsdale business district and was impounded. When the owner came to SPD headquarters to retrieve the vehicle, she was arrested and released on her own reconiznace and instructed to respond to Scarsdale Village Court to address the unpaid parking fines. Her car was impounded by police.
Refund
A Popham Rd. man wanted to document a civil matter he was having with a school June 30. The man said he enrolled his daughter in a school and paid a deposit. He then changed his mind and enrolled his daughter in a different school. The school indicated that a refund check was in the mail. However, the man has not yet received the check, and he wanted to document the matter.
Tree
A Webster Rd. man said someone cut his tree branches without permission June 30. A neighbor said her landscaper only takes care of her grass and does not trim hedges or trees. She said her landscaper would have had no reason to reach through the hedges and trim branches from the man’s tree. The man’s own landscapers were at this house on the day that the branches were cut, but they denied trimming the tree. The man said he would review surveillance footage for further clues.
Crack
Police observed a crack in the front door of a Chase Rd. business July 4. The manager was informed, and they are following up with surveillance footage.
Sink
On July 5, a School Lane man returned home from vacation and believed someone might have been inside his house because he found a bathroom sink running. Police checked the house and found no signs of forced entry or criminality. Instead, police deduced that the sink had turned on when a mirror fell from the wall.
Safety
A girl was sitting on curbing at Mamaroneck and Garden roads waiting for an Uber after dark July 4. Police advised her to wait on a grass area away from traffic for safety.
Kids were skateboarding on stairs of a Post Rd. building July 5. Police advised them to stop due to safety risks.
Help
On July 2, police assisted Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps transport a patient from Ramsey Rd. to White Plains Hospital Center.
Firearms
On July 3, a Garnersville, NY, man came to headquarters to surrender two firearms for safekeeping.
Kids
On July 4, a four-year-old child was found at Nelson Rd. and Boulevard, appearing to be lost at 12:28 p.m. A passerby from Lyons Rd. called police. Police were able to reunite the child with his parents.
A Greenacres Ave. man called police and said he lost his two children on the Bronx River Parkway bike path July 6. Soon thereafter, it was determined that the children made their way back home and were safely with a neighbor at the neighbor’s house. They were then safely reunited with their parents.
Cars and roadways
Police issued an overtime parking citation to the owner of a car parked all day on Fox Meadow Rd. June 30.
A Carthage Rd. woman reported her car’s license plates were lost in a fire July 1.
A broken irrigation system caused flooding on Lebanon Rd. July 1.
Police directed traffic around a disabled car at Griffen Ave. and Weaver St. July 1.
Highway department workers removed a fallen branch from Birchall Dr. July 1.
A driver of a car with scofflaw status due to unpaid parking tickets said she would settle her balance with the court, after police found her car parked on Christie Place July 2.
Patrol removed a fallen branch from Heathcote Rd. July 3.
Police advised an idling construction truck to turn off its engine July 5.
One car accident was officially reported in the Village this week.
Lost and found
An East Parkway man reported losing his Montenegro passport somewhere in the Village June 30. He reiterated the report on July 4 to properly fill out paperwork for a replacement request.
On June 31, a Lincoln Rd. woman lost a platinum and diamond necklace at the Scarsdale pool. She said she took off the necklace and put it in her beach bag, but when she emptied the bag, the necklace was no longer there. Police searched the area where the woman had been sitting for the necklace – to no avail. Staff said they would look for it on the grounds, as well as search the pool filtration system for the necklace.
A Broadmoor Rd. resident reported losing one of his license plates July 1.
A branch fell on Sage Terrace and severed a communications wire July 4. Police informed the highway department for removal and repair.
Village code
Police removed illegally posted signs from Tisdale Rd. July 2, Palmer Ave. and Post Rd. July 4, and Murray Hill Rd. and Mamaroneck Rd. July 6. Summonses were issued as appropriate.
On July 2, police advised a Burgess Rd. solicitor that he needed a permit to solicit in the Village.
On July 4, police found evidence of people shooting off illegal fireworks on Huntington Ave. The people fled when police approached. Firefighters extinguished burning carboard boxes.

On July 4, firefighters shut a valve to a leaking propane tank at a Nelson Rd. barbecue. They advised replacing the unit.
A Madison Rd. resident was advised to replace knobs on a gas cooktop July 4.

Brooklyn Man Arrested For Trying to Pass Counterfeit Money and Woman Sickened by Bad Cherries

Arrest: On June 25, police arrested a 38-year-old Brooklyn man on charges of first-degree possession of a forged instrument after the man attempted to pass counterfeit $100 bills at the 7 Eleven store on Scarsdale Ave.
Stolen car
During the overnight period of June 26 – 27, a 2024 BMW X7 was stolen from Dunham Rd.
Vandalism
On June 23, an Overhill Rd. resident reported vandals pulled her garden fence out of the dirt and tossed it onto her lawn. Plants were also found to have been stepped on.
Identity theft
An Overhill Rd. resident reported, on June 26, that someone fraudulently opened an account in her name and took out a business loan for $11,800.
Package
A River Rd. resident reported receiving an Amazon package filled with unwanted merchandise that she did not order June 27. It included baby clothes, mints, cereal. Patrol picked up the box and disposed of the contents.
Boy
On June 23, a Rochambeau Rd. resident reported that a young boy rang her doorbell and entered her house. She was not home when the incident occurred. Police went to the house and spoke with a woman who works for the family. That woman brought her son to work with her that day. All was in good order.
Suspicious
At 2:16 a.m., June 29, a Valley Rd. heard noises in his house and believed someone might be inside. Investigation found a rear office door opened and two faucets running. There were no signs of forced entry and no evidence of someone in the house.
A large bread knife was found on a Taunton Rd. lawn June 29. There were no signs of criminality. Police discarded the knife.
Death
A 95-year-old man died at home on Saxon Woods Rd. June 28.
Dispute
A Benedict Rd. man reported an argument with a neighbor who allegedly did not stop at a stop sign June 23.
Harassment
A Wildwood Rd. man reported a woman has been harassing him with unwanted communication, as well as by showing up outside his sports club. Police advised the woman that the man did not want any further communication from her.
Help
On June 26, a Brite Ave. woman reported that a family member, who resides in Illinois and who has mental illness, was sending illogical and confusing messages. The woman was concerned for the family member’s wellbeing.
Police stood by while a man retrieved his personal belongings from a Wildwood Rd. address June 26.
Police performed two welfare checks of elderly parents who reside in the Village, when their kids were unable to reach them this week.
On June 29, a Boulevard man reported receiving unwanted communication from his estranged mother regarding a legal matter.
Cherries
On June 25, a Crossway man reported that he purchased fruit that possibly had a pesticide that made his wife ill. He arrived at police headquarters to meet two food inspectors from the NYS Agriculture and Markets to hand over possible evidence. He said that on June 14, his wife bought cherries from a local vendor. His wife allegedly ate one cherry and immediately felt ill. On June 15, his wife became further ill and went to seek medical attention. Upon receiving multiple medical tests, doctors told the man’s wife that it possible that something was ingested causing her to become ill. The man stated the only thing that he could think of that would have made his wife ill were the cherries that she ate. He notified Agriculture and Markets who responded to police HQ to take possession of the cherries. Agriculture and Markets stated that they will be testing the cherries and wished to document the incident with police.
Cars and roadways
Police taped up fallen wires and notified Verizon regarding incidents on Saxon Woods Rd. June 23 and Rodney Rd. June 27.
On June 23, an elderly driver was driving erratically and possibly on the wrong side of the road near Popham and Garth roads. Police convinced her to park the car in the high school lot and take a taxi home.
On June 24, police issued summonses to a 21-year-old Scarsdale woman after she was found to be driving without a license and driving while using a portable electronic device. Police conducted a traffic stop at East Parkway and Christie Place after the woman was observed to be driving with her cell phone in both hands. Her license was found to be expired and suspended. A valid license holder responded to the scene and drove the woman away in her car.
Police helped a driver find her car parked at the high school lot June 24.
Police permitted a driver to leave her overheating car parked on Dobbs Terrace overnight to cool down June 24.
On June 24, a caller reported her foot had been run over by a car in a Mamaroneck Rd. lot.
On June 25, police issued a summons form aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle to a 64-year-old woman from New Rochelle. She was involved in a car accident on Palmer Ave. and when police responded, they realized her license-related misdemeanor.
On June 25, police notified the highway department about a dead deer on Brewster Rd. and a fallen branch on Post Rd.
On June 26, police encountered a car parked in the Christie Place garage with scofflaw status. Police booted the 2018 Kia, registered to a 64-year-old Peekskill man.
On June 26, while patrolling the Christie Place garage, police discovered that a boot placed on the car of a 33-year-old Carmel, NY, woman had been unlawfully removed. The suspect faces charges of third-degree criminal tampering and obstructing governmental administration.
A tree fell on a parked car on Wayside Lane, also taking down wires. June 26. No injuries were reported. Con Edison was notified.
Police removed a brick from Mamaroneck Rd. and disposed of it. June 27.
On June 27, a Carthage Rd. man experienced a flat tire and wanted police to check for any possible sharp debris on Lincoln Rd related to a construction project. No nails were found in the roadway.
On June 27, police issued a 41-year-old Bronx driver four summonses – for failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a motor vehicle with improper plates, an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The driver was operating a Toyota with a Texas plate. The plate was seized by police and towed to the driver’s residence.
On June 27, police towed a 2018 Kia, with scofflaw status for unpaid parking tickets, from Boniface Circle, to the police impound lot.
Three car accidents were officially reported in the Village this week.

A Popham Rd. woman reported losing her Japanese passport June 26.

On June 24, police removed illegally posted signs from Griffen Ave. and Weaver St. and Post and Popham roads. On June 25, police removed illegally posted signs from Weaver St. On June 27, police removed illegally posted signs from Brayton Rd. and Bypass and Secor Rd. On June 29, police removed illegally posted signs from Brown and Ewart roads. They issued summonses for violating Village code.

Firefighters placed a defective elevator in the middle school out of service June 23.
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of fallen power lines on Church Lane June 23 and Wayside Lane June 26.
Firefighters stood by for Con Edison at the site of a gas odor on Greenacres Ave. June 23.

A pizza box caught fire in a Heathcote Rd. oven when the residents were attempting to reheat it June 25. Firefighters made sure the fire was out, removed the burnt box and ventilated the house. Firefighters extinguished a brush fire on Brook Lane June 27.
